It was the next morning. Y/N had completely forgotten where she was, that was until she was awoken by a certain bushy-haired girl.

"Aw, you look so cute sleeping there-
DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! GET UP-"

Oh Hermione, Y/N wouldn't trade her for the world- even though they've only met in person like two days ago.

Hermione continued to shake Y/N until she said, "Alright, alright! I'm up!"

"Good. Now get dressed, you have to make a good impression on your first day."

Y/N laughed at her friend's motherly nature but stopped quickly as she didn't fancy getting hit with a slipper first thing in the morning.

Hermione finally managed to get Y/N down the stairs to the common room just in time so they wouldn't miss breakfast.

Harry and Ron were also making their way down the staircase from the boy's dormitory, along with three other boys.

"Who's your friend, Hermione?" one of them asked.

"This is Y/N, she just moved here," Hermione replied, side-hugging her friend.

One of the other boys walked towards Y/N and bowed before her jokingly as if she were royalty. "Dean Thomas, my lady. I'm honoured to make your acquaintance."

Y/N didn't know what to say, so she awkwardly replied with, "Ok."

Ron, being the great friend he is, saved her from her own awkwardness by pointing to each of the boys saying, "That's Neville, Seamus and that weird one bowing down to you is Dean."

Dean dramatically gasped and said, "I'm not weird, I'm just extra."

"Alright, whatever you say," said Seamus. "We're going to the Great Hall, see ye later."

When the quartet, as Y/N liked to call them now, entered the Great Hall for breakfast, they saw Draco Malfoy telling a group of Slytherins a very funny story. As they passed, he pretended to faint resulting in laughter by his house.

"Ignore him," Hermione said to Harry. "Just ignore him, it's no-"

"Hey, Potter!" A girl from the Slytherin table with a face like a pug was calling for Harry. "Potter! The Dementors are coming, Potter! Woooooooo!"

Y/N rolled her eyes and sarcastically said, "Wow, so scary."

The girl started to laugh slightly. "And who're you?"
"Your mom."

Y/N didn't know if the girl understood the joke, but it'd even funnier if she didn't.

They sat at the Gryffindor table beside Fred and George Weasley.

"Alright, that joke was pretty funny, but you're gonna need more creative ways to mess with Pansy Parkinson," said Fred.

"And don't worry, we've got lists of students," added George, "but what's up with you, Harry?"
