It was a couple hours before the singles rounds would continue for the Vytal Tournament. Neither Penny nor myself could believe what had happened with Yang. Even though I hadn't fully regained all of my old memories of Yang from before the accident, I still knew that Yang wasn't the type of person to do something like that unless she was provoked. Penny and my teammates had even agreed with me on that too. Nonetheless, there wasn't anything that we could do about it. Ciel and Hunter had both gone into Downtown Vale for a date, leaving Penny and I by ourselves in the dorm. So Penny and I had decided to snuggle up together and watch a movie. When the movie had ended, Penny turned to me and said, "Hey, Y/N. Can I be honest with you about something?" I turned to her and said, "Of course. What is it?" She sighed and said, "Y/N, I'm so glad to have you in my life. You've changed it in ways that I couldn't have ever predicted. Because of you, I know not just what love feels like, but what true love feels like as well. You were one of my first true friends. I love you, Y/N L/N." I smiled and said, "I love you too, Penny Polendina. I'm glad to have you in my life as well." Then I planted my lips onto hers and kissed her. She put her arms around my neck and kissed me back. The kiss was absolutely perfect and full of pure bliss.

When we pulled away for air, I realized that we should probably start making our way to the Colosseum. Penny checked the time and agreed with me. We headed to the docking bays to ride a transport up to the arena. Once we got to the arena, we went to the arena stage area, where the other competitors were waiting. A few minutes later, we heard as Professor Oobleck said, "All right, it's now time to begin the randomization process for our next fight!" The screens above the stadium began showing as the roulette started spinning, this time for competitors instead of biomes. When it stopped, Professor Port said, "It looks like our first contender is... Penny Polendina from Atlas. And her opponent will be... Pyrrha Nikos from Beacon!"
