What Now?

It's been several weeks since Kai turned Lizzie into a vampire and no one has seen him since. Caroline and MG have been helping Lizzie with her vampire side while Bonnie and Josie have been helping with her witch side now that she has more power than she ever has. Klaus and Hope have been back in New Orleans for the birth of Keelin and Freya's new baby. Valerie left to find Kai but she hasn't found him yet.

It's the morning Klaus and Hope are supposed to come back and Caroline, Bonnie, Lizzie and Josie are at the Mikaelson mansion having breakfast. Caroline and Lizzie have regular food and a chalet of blood while Bonnie and Josie have the same thing except orange juice in the place of blood.

"So when do Klaus and Hope get back?" Bonnie asked before taking a drink of orange juice.

"They should be getting in at anytime." Caroline responded with a half smile.

Truth is that Lizzie's transition has been really hard on Caroline. She didn't want any of this for her girls and she can't help but think this is her fault. Caroline hasn't been sleeping, has hardly been eating and hasn't really spoken to anyone unless she has to. In fact, she only knew Klaus and Hope were coming home today because she got an email alert from the company that takes care of the Mikaelson private jet.

"So, mom I was thinking... I should have a party..." Lizzie said hesitantly avoiding eye contact with Caroline.

"No." Caroline takes a swig of blood.

"Why? It could be like a coming out party. Only no one really knows what I'm coming out as... I just really wanna party as a vampire."

"God, Lizzie! I said no. Drop it!" Caroline stood up and threw her cloth napkin on the table and whooshed out of the room past Klaus and Hope who had just walked into the dining room and up to her room. She tore out of her clothes and put her robe on because she felt like her clothes were smothering her. She sat on the bench at the end of the bed and put her head in her hands.

"Hello love." Klaus walked into the room slowly closing the door behind him.

"Leave me alone." She said without lifting her head.

Klaus sat on the bench next to her, "Now I'm going to pretend that didn't hurt my feelings. Talk to me." He placed his hand on her back causing her to jump up from the bench.

"No! I don't want to talk to you!" She turned to head toward the door.

Klaus vamped in front of her, "Then talk to someone! Bonnie, or Elena, or I'll even call bloody Rebekah if I need to! You aren't sleeping, you're hardly eating, you're easily aggravated... for God's sake Caroline you're a vampire. It hurts, or you're angry, or you're confused and it's amplified, but don't go through it alone. You don't have to anymore."

Caroline studied Klaus' face and rolled her eyes. "Call Kol."

"What?"

"Call. Kol. That's who I want to talk to. And Davina."

"Okay." Klaus left the room dialing Kol's number.

"Brother! You called so soon? What is it? Calling to tell me how handsome our new nephew is? Is his name Kol? It's Elijah isn't it? Bloody hell."

"If you'll shut up so I could talk..."

"Sounds serious, why are you calling me?"

"It's Caroline. She wants to talk to you and Davina."

"We're on the way." And the call ended.

Klaus felt a presence behind him and though he was in the hallway Caroline was standing in the doorway of the bedroom listening.
