Adhi quietly strolled away from the crowded blast at the lawn for some fresh air. His smooth hair ruffling with the soft chill wind that hit his face as his long slender fingers ran through it.

He was glad that he had lost Arjun in the crowd. Or maybe he wanted him to get lost. At least for the sake of some mental peace.

He didn't want to go after Dhira right away because he knows that she would need her own time to comprehend with whatever that was going on between them.

So does he,

Adhi, himself never understood why each and even the smallest of everything Dhira does in his presence has been impacting him a lot.

Whatever bond he had with her, it was
Too beautiful to be stopped
Too brisk to be controlled
Too strong to be hidden
Yet
Too forbidden to be poured at someone whom he thought had the slightest idea of it

But now that he had known that his judgment was wrong, he was happy that he might won't have to confine anything. Anymore.

Thank you

Adhi would have almost jumped when he heard an unlikely voice behind him. He jolted his head backwards to find Diksha.

Thanks for coming'nu sonnen

She said as she joined him in his walk, Adhi furrowed his eyes at her,

Vandha yellarkume soningala?

He asked teasingly to which Diksha chuckled lightly shaking her head.
She inhaled sharply before saying,

Yellarum neenga illala. Neenga ennaku vera dhan

Adhi looked up from the innocent small stone that he has been kicking for no reasons and met her eyes.

He was quick to grasp what they meant,

Something he hoped never was.

But again his judgment had been wrong.

Adhu pudhichiruku, adhan sonnen

Diksha concluded before she gave him one of her - I know you know what I mean - smile and left him alone.

Adhi's eyelids blinked in discomfort over the situation he had landed himself.

Well, He knew that humans were too hard to calculate!

Dhira didn't even mind to change. She just simply headed to the terrace and sat there in the parapet, taking generous bites of the donuts that she stole from their kitchen which Suja was yet to fume at her for sure as she gazed at the huge round silver moon that spread it's serenity admist the grey sky. But there was no calm.

Dhira's usually traumatic birthday couldn't get more worse.

Her mind just wasn't ready to let go of the fact that why was it not her?

Why hasn't he even talked nicely with her?
It was always an argument.

Why hasn't he let her be in the same lift with him?
It was always a war

Car ride? Forget it!

Dhira felt bovine and clingy for being such a petty creature. By being possessive over someone unlikely.

Unakku yosikalam theriyuma?

A familiar voice coming from behind made her turn her head around swiftly. Dhira found Adhi, still in his party attire, approaching her with calculated steps with his hands behind him and a small smile.
