Under Her ?

A week after the storytelling...

Yeji sat beside Ryujin's bed and stared at the sleeping figure of the younger girl, seemingly enthralled at how peaceful and calm she looked. For today, it was only her with Ryujin inside the unit. The trio went to inform their families, especially Mr. and Mrs. Shin, and explain why they've decided to stay with Ryujin despite the circumstances that they had to face. They would be back tomorrow.

Yeji wished that Ryujin would look this peaceful even when she's awake, but that's not possible for now. Yeji's mind traveled back to the night of revelation a week ago, when Ryujin finally revealed what truly happened to her. The details made Yeji shake in disbelief and anger as she could not fathom how a human could do that to a young girl, but that monster was no human at all.

She was startled when she heard a groan coming out of Ryujin's lips, as well as her body uncomfortably shifting on the bed.

"Ryujin? What is it? Do you need something?"

"No, I'm good... Just n-nightmares..."

Ryujin breathed out heavily as she shut her eyes tight, trying so hard to get those memories out of her head. Dead bodies. Blood. Gun. She flinched when she felt something touching her forehead, then realized that it was just Yeji who was wiping away the cold sweat on her face.

"You sure? You look pretty shaken up... Wanna talk about it?"

"I... I d-don't..."

"Okay, its fine. C'mon, you can sle—"

"Lay down beside me, please..."

Yeji couldn't resist those eyes— those dark eyes that was hiding something beyond what people can see. She softly smiled and laid down beside her, being careful to not hurt her in the process. This was the real Ryujin. The Ryujin who was still scared, but is willing to be selfless to save the people she loved. The sweet girl who only wants to love and be loved. That is what Yeji sees right now, and she definitely cannot be told otherwise.

"Cuddles?"

"Hm..."

"Okay, come here..."

Ryujin slowly snuggled closer to her, and Yeji wrapped her arms around her frail figure very carefully once again. Yeji would've never thought that she could be in this situation with Ryujin and if she was told she'd be baby-ing Ryujin months before all this shit happened, she'd probably laugh and think that its impossible to be so close to a cold and dominant girl like her.

"Yeji?..."

"Yeah?"

"Thank you..."

"Huh?"

"Yuna told me that you convinced her and the others into breaking inside my condo unit."

"O-Oh, haha, err... Yeah, I did that..."

Yeji rambled and awkwardly laughed, her eyes darting around the place to avoid Ryujin's piercing stare at her. She can't believe that Yuna would spill that to her sister, and she even made it sound like Yeji was some sort of lunatic to break into someone's house.

"Thank you for doing that... And for being so kind to me despite all... Despite all the shits that I've done to you."

"Hey, don't mention it... Anyone in my shoes would've done the same."

"No, any other person would've went on with their lives."

"Don't think like that, there are a lot of good people out there if you just learn to know them."

Yeji gently stroked her hair, and she could feel Ryujin pressing her body more into hers. Ryujin's body warmth was nonexistent as the only thing she exude was coldness, and Yeji was desperate to melt that.

"Do you know why... Why I always do that to you?"

"Do what?"

"Sex"

"Ehem uhmm... N-No?"

"Everytime I look at you, I see her, especially because you had the same feline eyes. So when I had the chance to show that I can control and dominate you, it satisfied me and left me craving for more because a part of me thinks that its her whom I was controlling. That this time, I'm the one who could hurt her, who could make her do things. I... I did my silly revenge on you. But now, I finally know that you're not her— that you're completely different."

"..."

"Do you know what I found in you?"

"No..."

"This."

She pointed at the area where Yeji's heart is, staring at her with a look that made Yeji melt inside.

"You have this— a heart, and its filled with so much love and kindness. So thank you, for showing that to me."

"O-Oh..."

"And Yeji?..."

"Yeah?"

"I lied when I said I hated your eyes— I love it. They're beautiful."

Yeji couldn't be wrong right now— she was definitely falling for Ryujin. And she doesn't plan to stop. Not now, not ever. Even if this was the wrong time, she knew it was the right person.
