"Let's meet after class!"

Touched by Jeongyeon's invitation, I write down a quick agreement and pass it over her shoulder. I'm aware of Professor Gwan's dissatisfied gaze laying upon me, but I couldn't care less. He was electing a new pair of leaders, so I didn't need to be the good-girl anymore.

As he droned on about the responsibilities of a "Good Student Commander", I waited for the note that Jeongyeon didn't pass back. And as I did, I noticed how she kept writing in the journal she kept. She was writing faster than the day before, but less furiously. I was glad, honestly. She was cute that way.

And Jeongyeon gave me a hurried glance, in which her gaze reflected happiness and excitement. She threw the now-crumpled note onto my table, but due to her poor aiming it rolled on the floor. I couldn't pick it up, since it was out of reach, and Jeongyeon was in the same situation.

Unluckily, the only person in control of the situation was our dear professor, who made his way over on quick, swift steps. His eyes darted towards the ball of paper and he picked it up at the tip with his dainty, long fingers, leering at it like it was a dead pest. This wasn't the same Professor Gwan that spoke to me so desperately.

He was trying his best to be intimidating, but it wasn't working. Gwan glanced down his thin, wire-framed glasses at me and Jeongyeon, who shot him a sharp glare in reply. Obviously knocked off his fake persona at the response, the tall man merely placed the note back into my table with a light, fearful smile.

I read the note.

"You can come to my house :)"

I'd never really been to anyone's house before, besides Dahyun's, but that was a long time ago. So, an invitation to go to Jeongyeon's place? I would never turn that down. I wrote a short reply and passed it to her, placing it into the hand she slung back over her chair. She grasped it tightly, and our hands touched for a moment before she writhed out of my grip, taking the letter with her.

Does she not like physical contact? I pondered before retreating back. Upon overhearing a conversation at the back, I turned to see Dahyun talking to Chaeyoung behind her. They looked like they were enjoying it very much, the dire opposite to my attitude towards Gwan's class. I didn't know why, but I was beginning to disrespect him; just a little.

I watched as the tall man lumbered around and nagged on about leadership, then looked ahead at Jeongyeon, whose emo leather jacket sat over her shoulders. I wondered why she was so dark, when she was sort-of nice on the inside. I didn't know her well enough to make a judge of her character though.

When Gwan had begun electing the new Class Presidents, many had fallen asleep. I noticed that once he asked for volunteers, many awoke and started to compete for the position—much expected, since sometimes you got to miss lessons by doing your leader duties elsewhere. I knew this from experience.

And for some reason, the fully-awake emo kid in front of me didn't budge. She just smirked at all the people who hollered their own names in desperation for the position, her jacket slowly falling off her back and slumping into the chair. I was confused, but decided not to pay it much attention.

School ended before we knew it. All the teachers were either boring or angry, very rarely nice. And that was how it always went with teachers, as if they had breeds like dogs do.

Me and Jeongyeon headed out of school, and as we did she held my hand by the wrist, but not affectionately. She pulled me across the roads full of fleeting cars, dragged me on and off of buses, all without letting go of me. I swear this girl was a psycho.

I followed her all the way to her house, which turned out to be not far from school—she just took a long-winded route.

"Why would you do that, you could have just crossed a single road to get here," I groaned.

The dark girl revealed a sly glance. "I usually do. But it's because you're here now, I just want to tease you."

Before I could react, she dragged me through her doors and I was greeted with the fanciest house to ever exist. Her walls were all a royal shade of white; basically the purest hue of an angel's feather. Her sofa frames were made of an ornate material, and lined with velvet cushions. This was only the living room, where a fancy light that hung like a chandelier suspended from the ceiling. I glanced in awe at the television that was protruding out of the wall, and based off the way it was built it would likely be able to retract itself into it.

The girl beside me laughed. "You look so stunned, Vice-Leader. Oh, I mean Ex-Vice-Leader."

I glared up at her, but looked away once she smirked at our height difference. "Why would you be so cold when you have this much money? People in our school like having rich friends, it'll be easy for you," I remarked.

Jeongyeon gave me a curious glance. "Jihyo, I have trouble making true friends. Besides, I don't really get to use this money, and when I do I don't want to use it on 'buying friends'. Though you seemed okay when I invited you here."

"I didn't mean to offend you."

"It's fine, do you want anything? My house is empty right now, so we can take anything from the drawers. I'll tell my parents I was the one who ate their whole stock of food, so you can have whatever you like." Jeong twirled her house-keys in her between her fingers, and shrugged off her jacket to show a white top below it. I was surprised at how nice she was being to me.

"I don't need anything! But thank you," I purred.

Jeongyeon fastened her grip on my wrist again, then flung me into the sofa with Herculean strength. Maybe she has a room for working out, since it genuinely hurt to be grabbed by her. "You need comfort!! I forgot, sorry, I haven't had guests... In a long time," she murmured, looking away.

I shake my head wearily. "It's fine! It's fine, I feel alright."

I knew she had an issue communicating, but it was pretty funny. If she ever invited the World President over and threw them into a sofa, it would appear all over the headlines.

"I'll... go get you something," muttered the dark girl as she brisk-walked away.

I sighed a little, and looked up at the nicely painted ceiling above me.

Why did I have feelings for such a blunt girl? Such a strange person, yet I loved her so much that I couldn't say it out loud. My second day with her, and I was already infatuated.
