Aarav's POVI slowly entered the room and closed the door softly behind me.
The room was dimly lit with only one bedside lamp beside Rhea turned on.
Rhea was staring at her fingers or maybe dozed off in the sitting position I guess.
I was about turn to around and go back to the party to not disturb her when I had a low sob and then followed more sobs.
I stilled.
I faced Rhea, she was crying with a few hiccups.
I was shocked.
What happened suddenly?
Should I ask her?
Of course, you should. She is crying for god sake.
Contemplating on whether to ask her or not I finally gave into my consciousness and slowly walked to the bed.
"Rhea?" I called out softly, I stood in front of her but her face was curtained with a few strands of hair that fell on her face.
I was never this gentle or soft with her before, but today I felt something strange when I saw her crying.
The woman who always stood opposite to me fighting for the silliest things, equally glaring at me the way I glared at her, was now crying. Which is not normal.
And I have never seen her cry, so it felt unnatural and I was kind of worried or may be concerned for her.
Just a tiny bit.
Living with her for almost a month I knew how was Rhea and who was Rhea.
She is not a woman who cries for stupid reasons.
If she is crying it means the matter is big.
Willingly or not now we are married and we can't ignore each other lifelong of course.
And I am sick of arguing with her daily.
Someone has finally got some sense in their brain.
Ignore my conscience.
And we must at least be civil enough to ask the other one if they are okay or not or to comfort them if they are not well.
Not having the heart to see her crying I decided to confront her about it.
She froze when she heard my voice. Wiping her tears hastily she stared at me blankly putting her hair strands behind her ear as if nothing happened and she was not crying mere seconds ago. Her grey eyes were red and her nose had also turned red as she sniffled. The glow which she had half an hour ago was lost. She looked like someone had sucked her soul out of her.
"What?" She asked me with a passive face.
I stared at her stunned at her act to play cool.
"I-I what are you doing here?" I asked her clearing my throat uneasily.
I was about to ask her if she was okay but I decided against it as she may mistake me again for having fever-like she just did a couple of hours ago by checking for my temperature when I opened the door for her as I saw her struggling to walk, as Aarav Singhania suddenly acting as if he cares is not a casual thing you know.
