Hello folks.
I'm sorry that I have been away from this story for such an extended period of time. I know that you all have enjoyed these stories of Peter, MJ, and Ned; and I have loved bringing them to life for you. But I have unfortunately lost interest in this series. Particularly in this book, I found myself writing more fluff pieces than actual story driven chapters, and it has created an imbalance in what I had in mind for the story. Therefore, I regret to say this book will conclude with the previous chapter.
However, I don't want you guys to go without knowing some of the things I had in mind for the story. So, here are some of the things I would have done.
PARKER-SIDE
MJ and Peter's relationship would have become more complicated with both of them unable to find a good quality time together, eventually breaking up around Christmas time.
Peter would have tutored elementary/middle school students at the community center. A middle school aged Brad Davis and an elementary school aged Gwen Stacy would be among these students.
Michelle would have fully embraced her role as Decathlon Captain, leading the team to another championship, but coming in second place.
Ned and Betty have a small side story involving a biology project, in which Ned helps Betty prepare for a midterm exam via a biology song from "Hannah Montana."
The previous plot point would reveal that Betty has a guitar playing talent that she has never shared with anyone, which would be resolved at the upcoming homecoming dance.
The Decathlon would gain a few new members, including William Conners, a freshman who joined by suggestion from his father. He's a very hands-on type of person, relying on his hands to help him through problems and handling lab equipment. In this continuity, he would Blip in the street, and have one of his arms completely severed in an accident when he comes back.
SPIDER-SIDE
Rhino's costume would get heavier and more essential to O'Hirn's with each fight with Spider-Man. It starts as just the helmet, only to be defeated. He keeps increasing his dosage to defeat the webslinger, but he keeps losing. Eventually, he needs the whole mechanical suit to help him bear the toll of the drugs on his body.
Smythe's robots prove to be useful in fighting off Fisk's men, but not Spider-Man, as they were not designed with the intent to fight off agile superheroes.
Spider-Man would become so much of a problem for Silvermane, that Silvio would suit up in an armor Smythe made especially for him to take him down in a fight. Spider-Man would win in this fight, but with great injuries.
Silvermane warns Spider-Man that bringing him down would only allow Fisk to have more power and influence across the New York City area. Spider-Man vows that he will deal with Fisk when he can.
One of the people caught in the crossfires is Betty's brother, who gets in over his head with drug payments that he joins Rhino and Hammerhead's gang to get back on good terms.
So there's my best attempt to Sparknote what I had in mind for the rest of the story. Again, I'm sorry for losing interest and ruining your expectations, but I hope this is enough. I do love story-telling, and I love the characters of MCU Spider-Man, but I feel I have grown past my urges to write things for them. And especially after NO WAY HOME had such a great ending and a lot of open doors for new stories, I dont think it's my place to continue with these characters.
I hope you have enjoyed the story up to the point I left off, and I hope that you will also find interest in my other stories on my page.
This is amazjc96 signing off.
THE END!!!
