HASTINAPUR
The grand Kalapradarshan was about to commence, and the air buzzed with anticipation. The crowd gathered in the arena, a sea of anxious faces and hushed whispers. A special section was reserved for the royal ladies, offering them the best view of the arena. Dushala and Subhadra were seated together, their faces glowing with anticipation. Beside them were Kunti and Gandhari, both dignified and serene, their presence commanding respect.

Subhadra leaned closer to Dushala, whispering excitedly, "I've heard so much about the Kalapradarshan on my way from people. I can't wait to see the duels!"

Dushala smiled warmly, "I'm sure you are going to love it, Subhadra."

Kunti, overhearing their conversation, leaned in with a gentle smile. "Indeed, Subhadra."

Gandhari nodded in agreement, her voice soft but firm. "It is not just a display of combat skills but also a celebration of our warriors' strength and discipline, Putri. We all enjoy this day and find pride in the talents of our princes."

The ceremonial drums beat loudly, announcing the start of the event.
The first match was called. Vikarna, clad in his warrior's attire, stepped into the arena, facing Sahdev. The duel was fierce but brief, and Sahdev emerged victorious. The crowd erupted in applause.

Next, Sahdev faced Dushasan. The battle was intense, with both fighters showcasing their prowess. Dushasan's skill and brute strength ultimately won him the match. Cheers and shouts filled the air.

Dushasan then stood against Nakul. This bout was equally gripping, with both warriors exchanging powerful blows. Nakul, with his agility and strategy, outmaneuvered Dushasan, securing his victory.

Subhadra's eyes sparkled with delight as she watched, completely absorbed in the display of martial prowess. She felt Kunti's approving gaze on her and turned to see her Bua's gentle smile.

Then, Bheem stepped forward to challenge Duryodhan. The arena vibrated with their clash, each strike echoing like thunder. In his fury, Bheem struck a blow that wounded Duryodhan, causing blood to spill. The crowd gasped, and Bhishma quickly disqualified Bheem for violating the sacred rules of Kalapradarshan, which forbade shedding blood.

Yudhishthir then faced Duryodhan. The match was a test of endurance and skill, with both warriors fighting to their limits. In the end, Duryodhan triumphed once more.

Then Ashwatthama stepped forward, his voice booming. "The final match of the day: Panduputra Arjun versus Gandhariputra Duryodhan!"

Excitement rippled through the crowd. As Arjun approached the entrance of the Kalapradarshan ground, a sudden creaking sound was heard. The roof above the entrance began to collapse. The onlookers gasped in horror as debris fell, obscuring Arjun from view.

People screamed and rushed to see if Arjun was alright. Subhadra's heart seemed to stop in her chest, the world around her freezing in a moment of sheer terror. Dushala, her heart pounding, felt her breath catch in her throat. Kunti felt a tear slip from her eyes, her heart gripped with fear. Shakuni, however, allowed a smirk to curl his lips, thinking his evil plan had finally succeeded.

But after a few tense heartbeats, the dust began to settle. From the rubble, Arjun emerged, unscathed and resolute. The crowd erupted in astonished cheers, their relief palpable. A surge of gratitude washed over Subhadra, and she clasped her hands together, silently offering thanks for his safety. With trembling fingers, she brushed away a stray tear, her eyes never leaving Arjun's form, grateful beyond words for his miraculous escape. Shakuni's smirk vanished, replaced by a look of shock and disbelief.
