the doctor walks into the room.. alex's parents following behind him..
"doctor?" nick says,waking from his sleep.
"hello. i need to tell you all what is happening."
"WELL YES I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT MY SON!" alex's mother yells.
"quiet down ma'am." the doctor says.. "his heart gave out after the fight, going 260 a minute..."
his mother gasps.
"...he has a life threatening heart disorder.. and i hate to tell you all this way but.. he wont last long."

i burst out in tears. my lover. he's not gonna..

"he will wake up, and talk, and seem as if he's better, but... in the worst case scenario.." the doctor says empathetically.

"alex, baby. i love you." i say to him on his bedside.

2 HOURS LATER.

alex wakes up "h-hey?" "where am i"
"you're at the hospital my love" i say gently.
"why?"
"YOUR HEART GAVE OUT!" his mother yells, making him faint. him falling back onto the bed, accidentally pressing the emergency button, although it was needed.

doctors burst into the room... "heart rate" he says "199 per minute" the nurse says. "what happened?" the doctor says.
i get mad... "she wont shut her FUCKING mouth" pointing at his mother.
"hey.." the doctor says.
"she really wont." his father says, making alexs' mom disappointed in how he thought.
"what did she yell by chance?" doctor replies.
"YOUR HEART GAVE OUT!" i repeat.
"okay.." "im gonna have to ask you to leave ma'am." he says to alexs mother.
"can i come and check up on him?" she says.
"maybe, we will see how hes feeling"

now.. it was just me, nick, and alexs father. atleast he knows how to be fucking quiet.

an hour later, he wakes up again..

"ow." he says.
"what is it, son?" his father says to him, kindly.
"my heart, is like.. aching"
"oh, im sorry" his father says, acting like nothing is wrong. everythings wrong.
"mi amor.. i love you, i think somethings wrong."
"what do you think is wrong lover?"
"me."

the doctor walks in. "oh good! youre awake!" he says excitedly but calm.
"yes i am." he says.
"so would you like to know why you're here?"
"yes."
"okay well. you have an extreme heart disorder, and your heart had failed after yours and nicks fight."
"w-what."
"and unfortunately.." the doctor continues.. "you dont have long left, make of what time you do have the most of it!" he says.
"wha-" he faints.. again.

my poor boy.

7pm, right around the corner. we're all just sitting here. waiting. waiting for the depressing time to come. why? WHY ARE WE WAITING FOR IT TO HAPPEN. why arent we charishing his presence. only i am. only I AM.

he wakes up.

"my love."
"yes?" i say while quietly calling the doctor to come.
"i wanted to marry you. i wanted to have kids with you. you're the person i wanted to spend my life with. you're my person. you deserve the absolute world, i dont know if ive given you nearly enough that you need but i swear, ill give it to you.. i swear that all of the things we both wanted to happen with us will happen. it will.. just.. in another lifetime, mi amor."

he gives me a kiss, then rests his head on his pillow. the doctor comes in.. the monitor flatlines..
