The guests and residents of the house looked at us in shock. "Show me," Alma insisted. Mirabel and I lead her to the bottom of the stairs where we saw the cracks.

"What," Mirabel questioned, "they were right here, we saw them." She kept insisting there were cracks and Alma had a look of disapproval. She turns back to the crowd of concerned people.

"There is nothing wrong with Casita, the candle is strong. So are the drinks," Alma ushered them back to the party. Julietta looked at Mirabel with concern and took us to the kitchen

"If I'm making this up, how did I get this cut on my hand, Tia Y/n saw the cracks too," Mirabel tried to inform her mother but Julietta shoved an arepa into her hands.

"I think tonight was hard for the both of you," she insisted softly.

Timeskip~

This morning was, eventful. Mirabel kept interrupting Alma's speech, probably trying to get information. After we were dismissed and Mirabel ran after Luisa, who looked troubled. I pulled my only son to the side. "Listen Eduardo-"

"I know it's about the magic, let me guess you want me to discover with Mirabel?"

I nodded my head and smiled at him. "Gracias mi vida."

He hugged me and grabbed my hands before he let them go. "Por favor be careful."

"I'm always careful mamá," he replied smugly and then ran off into the distance towards Mirabel.
