The four Parker's all huddled close together, with Peter one, Peter three, and Petra crouched over their injured brother.
"Hey, nice catch back there." Peter three turned to Peter one.
"Nice throw." He replied, smiling.
Old Peter's weary eyes flitted up to the skies and widened. Petra followed his gaze at the sound of a loud cracking that split the air. The sky was divided by a long, distorted, and crumbling line of blinding light.
"Is that happening or am I dying?" Old Peter asked breathlessly.
"Oh, no, that's happening." Peter three clarified, also looking up. "That's real."
"What's going on, Peter?" Petra turned a frightful eye to Peter one for reassurance.
"Are there people in the sky?" Old Peter gasped like a child.
Confused by his words, Petra looked back up and to her surprise saw outlines of different figures. One particular one stood out to her, glowing and white, that despite its shine was still clearly visible.
"My Lord is that seriously Jake?!" She groaned, half amused and half annoyed as she recognized his floppy, untrimmed hair and baggy clothes.
"Who's Jake?" Peter three asked his voice light and was actually interested.
"Yeah.. who's Jake?" Peter one joined, a little more suspicious.
She nearly burst out laughing at his narrowed, protective little eyes. "You're so fussy." Petra laughed.
Peter one was unnerved. "Who's Jake?"
"Nobody, really," Petra chuckled. "Just a classmate from school, don't worry, you can put your hands down."
He sheepishly lowered his clenched fists and stared back intently at the sky. "Uh, guys, I gotta go."
"Yeah, okay, I got him." Peter three gestured down.
"Wait, Peter, go where?" Petra pulled Peter one back.
His worried eyes searched hers briefly before leaning his head for her to follow. She couldn't help but think they were looking for an answer in her eyes. There was no time to explain their feelings, however, because Peter began to swing away, and the unworldly break in the sky was expanding threateningly. They swung up back to the top of the statue where the wizard was floating.
