Your Anomalous Life [SCP & Reader]

Hey there, Shot here! You know- the author, heh... Nice to meet ya!

This is going to be... something- at least for me. To be honest, I've never really written anything like this before. Fanfiction, yes (-just not on here-) but a reader insert, no. I'm hoping it'll be a fun experience... one that I hopefully won't abandon after like- 3 chapters.

Truth be told, I'm actually a little nervous about posting this? It's been a long time. Plus, I'm not the most confident person out there. (That's 035, obviously. Or would that be arrogance?... hm.) Especially in terms of my writing. Still, I really do hope ya'll will enjoy this!

Some things to keep in mind before we begin:

- Despite what being an "x-reader" might imply, no, this isn't gonna be romantic in any form. Probably for the best that way, since I don't think I'd be able to write romance very well... or anything, really. Apologies in advance. I may, however, consider using this storyline/AU (I don't know what to call it) to create some boyfriend scenarios or ask blog spinoffs? Y'know, if there's enough demand for that kind of thing. I don't know. I'm just spitballin' here.

- I'm gonna be honest with y'all for a second: this idea was purely conceived on a whim. (What a surprise, I know.) Because of that, this is likely gonna be more episodic in nature than anything. It'll still have continuity and actual plot throughout, course. It'll just also be somewhat Oneshot-ish for a majority of it. If that makes... any sense. However- if any of y'all have any ideas for possible chapters, feel free to post them in the comments. I might base a chapter off of 'em! I mean, if it's gonna be like a one-shot book, might as well let it work like one, right? (...After a few ordinary chapters, of course. Gotta establish everything somehow.) Not only would something like that help encourage a bit of interactivity, but it should also (hopefully) help make this become a story y'all will enjoy 'till the end! 

- I'm going to do my best to keep this as gender-neutral as I can. After all, there are a lot of genders out there. Or, rather, lots of gender identities. Therefore, if this is gonna be a reader-insert, I'd want everyone to be able to have as easy of a transition as possible. Otherwise, what'd be the point? So, y'all be sure to call me out if I mess up anywhere, alright?

- And lastly; Please, for the love of SCP-343, give me feedback if you have any! I wanna improve my writing in any way I can, even if it's for something as simple as this. Plus, stuff like that shows people are actually interested in this story, which someone like me always needs! Makes for good motivation. (Also, don't be surprised if I reply to tons of comments! I always tend to do that, no matter the medium.)

You're all probably already sick of me going on and on like this. I don't blame you. Don't worry, though! Hopefully, this should be the only time I really need to make such a lengthy author's note like this.

Now, assuming (or rather, hoping, because good lord, I feel bad for you if this is your first one-) you know how these kinds of things work, let's get on with the actual story, shall we?
