New semester, new people, new opportunities and perhaps new feelings. But there were still some things that remained unchanged; Taehyun's confusing feelings and Beomgyu's odd personality.
"Is there anything that you're truly interested in?" Taehyun had once asked Beomgyu.
Beomgyu had pondered for a while before replying in an unsure tone, not understanding why Taehyun had asked such a question. "Art? Music? People? Acting?"
"Something that you're truly passionate about."
Beomgyu had frowned and shot the younger a weird look. "I don't know why you're doubting my passions but I'm passionate about making art."
The silver haired had only nodded his head and left Beomgyu's room. He knew Beomgyu had liked a lot of things, but since he never spoke in depth about anything, Taehyun naturally thought Beomgyu was just forcing himself to enjoy what he was doing and didn't have a real passion. Maybe he was wrong about the older all along.
Another day Taehyun had spotted Beomgyu helping others as usual with his signature warm and bright smile on his face. The moment he approached the older, Beomgyu got a nosebleed.
"Stop overworking yourself" Taehyun had advised him only to receive a perfunctory nod.
Beomgyu never changed. He still worked hard every single day. Going to classes in the morning, working on his art or art commissions in the afternoon, helping others if asked, working part time at either the cafe or ice cream parlour in the evening and return home late. Because of his popularity, Beomgyu had been receiving more and more requests for his art and also for his acting. Scouts had came looking for Beomgyu during his part time jobs and Taehyun had saw the amount of business cards scattered on his table.
The older also didn't seem as restless as before and he seemed to be doing fine now, apart from the fact that he still overworked himself. However, because of how busy both of them were, Taehyun felt that they had been growing quite distant lately.
Taehyun had never once mentioned about the scars Beomgyu had showed him, and the taller had never spoken about them too. With the only clues Taehyun got from Beomgyu's drunk talk, he believed that his mother was abusive and mentally unstable with his father out of the picture. He couldn't quite imagine how Beomgyu's childhood was like for him to become the way he was right now.
"Taehyun-ssi?"
"Yes?" Taehyun looked at the girl before him.
"You live with Beomgyu oppa right? Can you help me pass this envelope to him?"
