Walking at the seaside, feeling the cold breeze of the winter air. This lingering feeling remains since the day we left each other.
Regrets of the past kept hunting me, making my mind filled with tumultuous thoughts.
I should have done anything to take you back from the hands of the wrong man but in the end, I was engulfed by the fear that you will hate me more, that our present bond will become more chaotic if I will interfere with the relationship that I believed you are happier than the past us.
But I was too late when I realized the current situation. You were already gone before I saved you. I realized that after seeing the person that I want to save, lying on the cold floor with its cold body holding a paper with its last words on it.
A tear rolled down my cheek when I remembered that scene again. I still remembered the things that are written on one piece of paper. And the last sentence of its last words is the one that hit me hard. I still remember the exact words that are stated in there. Its "I-
"Darling!"
"Papa!"
The worried voices of the people that I love had woken me up from the dream. The worried face of my betrothed and son is the first thing that I saw when I opened my eyes.
"Darling, are you okay?"
"Huh? Of course, I am? Why did you ask?"
The two of them gave me confused faces.
"Then why are you crying Papa?"
That's when I realized that there are tears that are continuously falling.
"Dear, go get some water and a face towel for your papa"
My son just nodded and immediately stormed out of the room to get the things that his mom said.
My wife suddenly faced me with a serious face and asked an unexpected question.
"Did you dream of that too?"
That caught me off guard causing me to not answer their question.
"So, you did..."
A sad smile appeared on their face and suddenly hugged me. A few moments we separated when our son came to the room with the things that his mom asked.
"Orion, could you please give your parents some alone time?" My wife asked our son with a gentle smile on their face.
"Hmm, okay!" Orion showed us a sweet smile that resembles the smile of his mother. That smile of his showed us that he understood and will leave us for a while.
After Orion left the room, my wife faced e again but now with a gentle smile on their face.
"Now, shall we talk about it?"

Hello! This is the writer, how are y'all? Well, this one-shot is one of the things that took me a long time to write (like an hour) and I'm planning to make it longer but got too lazy midway so yeah. If I will have some inspiration in the future maybe I will make this a bit longer? I'm still learning how to write a non-tragedy so that's why I can't finish this and got lazy midway through writing this so yeah.
