You've got your back turned
And all I can see are the
Falling of your feathersYour wings have endured
Life, and there's more to come
You have a sky to venture
A purpose to find home; You're still walking away,
Did I do that damage? When your feathers are bloodied
And the roses in your eyes sullied
How can you say that you're okay
That you can manage?I don't know what to do
Maybe I'm just adding up to your hurt
I plucked up your wings
And I gather them in your wakeMy hands are red from your blood
But I see blue
You have so much more to do
Why can't you see that's true?I await your arrival
When your soul is renewed
I'll be left in the earth
You in the skyThe feathers you left
I made arrows of it
I give them to you,
All bow, quill, and quiverYou have the strength
You have your feathers
Leave me and go
With your memories of us
In tow//k.u.
