Harry James Potter

Despite the iciness of the slytherin girl's eyes, Harry couldn't help but feel warm inside. It was similar to the feeling he had experienced when he had began crushing on Cho Chang, a pretty asian fifth-year that was in Ravenclaw and currently trying to melt the side of his head with her angry stare. Harry had thought she was beautiful, but whoever this girl was, she was on a level he had never even conceived before. If Cho was an angel, this girl was a goddess.

Finally, the girl's lips curved into a smile and Harry found his gaze drawn to them, breaking the staring contest they had been holding without even realising it. In an instant, Harry was snapped back to reality and continued to survey the room.

The hall's stares reminded him of the looks he would get from the entirety of Privet Drive- disdainful, full of hate.

Harry shook his head in disbelief, his anger growing. Of course someone had to screw him- no, some bloke had to fuck him over this year as well. All he wanted was a quiet vacation home before returning to the Dursleys, but the universe couldn't even grant him that. He was experiencing a lot of firsts today, the latest of which happening to be the overwhelming feeling of being pissed the hell off. At the school, at Dumbledore, the lot of them. Maybe it was time to stop acting like his mother all of the time.

"Yes?" He spread his hands out, looking at all of them. "What are you all looking at?" He snapped at the hall in irritation, causing most of them to look away, a little surprised at his sudden outburst. Ron and Hermione jumped back, surprised.

"Your name has come out of the Goblet of Fire." Dumbledore informed him sadly.

"I'm well aware." Harry said dryly.

"I always knew you were an arrogant brat, Potter, but I never presumed it to be this serious." Snape burst out suddenly. "Just like your father, always seeking attention."

Harry looked around once again, unsurprised that no one cared he had just been insulted by a professor.

"Maybe that's a good thing. We both had to put up with your bullshit." Harry smirked at the greasy man, who snarled in return. Ignoring the rest of the hall, mildly surprised he had not been admonished for his language by Professor McGonagall, he exited through the same door the champions did, clicking his heels together right before the door closed.

He quickly caught the attention of the other three champions as only Cedric Diggory, the Hogwarts Champion, recognised him.

"Potter?" He asked, confused.

"That's me." Harry shrugged to signal he had no idea what was going on.

"What is it? Do zey need us back in ze 'all?" Fleur Delacour asked with a thick accent, presuming him to be a messenger. Both men next to her visibly puffed up slightly at the accidental allure she released.

"No, I've been roped into this stupid tournament." Harry sighed.

"You are champion?" Krum asked, looking down at him.

"Not by choice." Harry answered, not even slightly intimidated. He had faced Voldemort after all- literally- and an all-powerful dark lord was ever so slightly more scary than a sad sulky seeker. Krum nodded after a moment.

At that same moment, the door burst open and the three headteachers, as well as Ludo Bagman, Mr Crouch and Alastor Moody rushed into the room.

"You! Boy! How dare you cheat!" Igor Karkaroff strode towards him with a harsh glare.

"I didn't." Harry stated without so much as a flinch.

"Harry." Dumbledore caught his attention. "Did you put your name in the goblet of fire?" He asked calmly.
