Matt Murdock pov

After I came home that night from my nightly duties I slumped onto the couch and pulled off my mask.

I closed my eyes and leaned back, I heard someone clearing their throat. They where standing behind me.

"Can I help you wade?" I said as I keep my head leaned back.

"Wanna explain to me why you were fallowing y/n at work tonight" my eyes opened which was no use to me, but to show that I was surprised.

"They told you about me saving their life?" I said astonished "and also I wasn't fallowing them- I just so happened to be in the neighborhood" I added on, this being not 100% the truth.

I felt someone sit beside me on both sides. One being wade the other being Peter.

"Yes, why wouldn't she have said something." Peter said

I groaned in slight annoyance, I've already had a ruff night and now I have to come back to these two bickering men, asking me questions.

"She told us that she's never seen a superhero before" Peter said, which made me feel warm inside

"I would call myself a superhero-" I said

"Oh come on don't tell us you have a crush on her" wade said

"Is that why you fallowed her?" Wade added

"I wasn't fallowing her!" I said, I was becoming quite angry at this remark

"I was in the neighborhood and she needed help" I turned towards him the best I could "did you want me to stay out of it?"

"No of course not- look all I'm saying is" he breathes out heavily "she can't know our secret identity" wade said

"Yeah I agree with wade. Karen, foggy, and that one nurse who used to always come around knows" I sighed knowing that they were both right

"Look can we talk about this tammarow, I have a new case tammarow and I wanna get as much rest as I can" I said as I stood up and began to walk upstairs

"You can just walk away!!" Peter whisper shouted at me as I began to walk up the stairs

"I already am" I said.

~time skip to next morning~

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring 'wake up'. 'wake up'

I pushed the turn off button and got up. My side still hurting from last night. It didn't feel if anything was broken but possibly just a nasty looking bruise.

I stood up and walked to my wardrobe and grabbed. Suit and began putting it on. Afterwards I was ready to head down stairs. I opened my door but someone was blocking it .

"It's tammarow so let's talk" he walked in last me and I shut my door quietly

"Look I already told you, I wasn't fallowing her around" I said

"Okay but you never answered weather or not you like y/n" wade said a tone of precaution in his low voice

I didn't wanna lie completely, I mean sure I like y/n. She is sweet, funny, and a great contribute to everyone in the house. She even likes froggy and he is a hard person to get along with. But I wasn't exactly sure if I liked here platonically or not. I've never been the best at detecting that. She seems to like me as well but maybe not in the same way as I like her.

"That lack of an answer proves peters point" was said "I owe him 10 bucks know" whispered wade.

"Maybe I do, so what?" I said "it isn't hurting anyone" I added on

"No but I know that you don't like to lie, and if your two were to date, you'd have to tell her  everything" wade said and I gulped down air.

"I can lie, plus she doesn't need to know, it doesn't mean we couldn't be together-" in that moment I heard a creek from outside my door.

"Someone's listening" I said as I walked to the door

"It's probably just Peter" wade said

"Peter would've just walked in" I said

I opened the door and threw my hand out to feel for someone but was greated with air.

"Maybe your hearings going too" wade chuckled to himself

I closed the door "not funny" I said
I really hate his blind people jokes

"Not even a little?" Wade asked

"Not in the slightest" I said as I grabbed my glasses

"Oh and do not and I mean do not mention this to anyone, I mean it" I directed my attention to him

"Mention what? Your crush on another nurse?" Wade said as he opened my door and walked out

I shook my head and walked out after him

~time skip to his law firm

I walked into mine and Nelson's law firm. Page was always there first so I figured she was the one brewing coffee.

"Morning Matt, wanna cup?" She asked as she poured herself one

"Sure Ill take one." I said folded up my stick and set it down on a nearby chair.

She came over and tapped my arm, which by know hasn't startled me too much. She handed me my coffee and I held it

"That's page" I said and made my way to my office

"Oh and I have a copy of the new case written in braille on your desk" page called from the front desk

"Thanks, and is froggy coming in" I asked

"Yeah he was just picking something up from the store than he'll be here" I grunted in approval and opened my office door and sat my coffee mug down and felt around for the new file

I found it and opened it immediately and scanned it threw with my finger.

'frank castle' it read

I've definitely heard this name before... It's been all over the news. The punisher, a big bad veteran gone rouge.

I walked out and went over to Karen

"What's this? I never agreed to defending someone who is clearly guilty" I said in a bit of frustration

"Look he needed a lawyer and I volunteered you and foggy. Yes he's guilty and yes he knows that.  You too are to try to get him a better sentence than life in jail. Your a great lawyer"

"It's not being a great lawyer, it's about defending a murderer and trying to get him a better deal." I said

"Have you read his file?" Page asked and I shook my head

"No but-" she cut me off

"Read it then come back to me, I think you'll find it interesting" I walked back to my office and picked the file up and read it.
