We hop into the laundry carts to hide from the security bots all the way down the hall. Vanessa must have powered on more after the incident. It's going to be a lot harder to get around the facility now without getting caught.
We finally make it to the rehearsal room. I lead the way to the exit. Before we exit, I grab Gregory's hand. "We have to make a dash for it. The stage control room is on the other side of the hall." He nods. I check the hall to make sure no security bots are roaming. Lucky for us, there are none.
We both quickly dash across the hall. I slam the door shut behind us. We make our way through the doors and enter the control room.
"Start looking for the stage control button. You look up there. I'll look back here." I instruct.
I begin scanning the buttons up and down, but not even 3 minutes later, an alarm sounds right as Gregory screams, "Found it!... Nevermind.".
I rush towards Gregory to see the damage he has done.
"What did you guys do? Something happened. I can communicate again. I think you fixed my signal. Thank you." Freddy's voice filters from somewhere behind us.
Gregory and I turn around to see Freddy's face on the screen.
"You're standing?" I question.
"Consider it a second wind." Freddy replies.
"Uh, oh... Freddy! Monty and Roxy are coming. What do we do?!"
"The doors were designed with electrical deterrents. Find the right buttons, and hit them at the right time."
"Ok, but how do we get out?" I asked, ready to make a run for whatever exit Freddy tells us.
"Do you see the large vent on the floor? You guys are probably standing right on top of it. If I can reach the room under you, I should be able to force it open." Freddy falls silent. "Oh, so all the doors appear to be on lockdown. I need you two to look for me on a monitor where I am waving. Under that monitor, there will be a corresponding button to open that door." Freddy is cut off by the monitors switching to a view of the bunny.
"There you are! see you soon!" The monitors then cut to black.
"Hurry! We cannot stop her."
Gregory and I begin searching for the screen. I finally found it, and there in view is Freddy and Michael. I quickly slam my hand on the button to let them in. Gregory and I repeat this process several times as we also hit the buttons beside the doors to send electrical shocks to Monty and Roxy.
"We are in! Come to the vent!" Freddy's voice filters throughout the room.
"Jump down!" I usher Gregory to go first. Freddy catches him. I wait for Freddy and jerk my head from Freddy back to the door several times. Michael must have noticed my nervousness because he begins ushering me.
"I'll catch you! You have to jump now! I promise I won't let you fall!"
So, I put my trust in him for just this tiny second.
True to his word, he catches me. Maybe I shouldn't be so hesitant around him. I can't help it, though. The whole 'I'm Michael' thing was just dropped on me. I didn't have much time to process, and I feel guilty about how I have acted, but I still can't help but be a little fearful. I just need some time. I need to know if he's the same person I've known for two years. I need reassurance.
~~~We are going to shift to Michael's pov, but we are going to go back in time a bit.~~~
I throw a ball, I found, towards the floor where a construction wall meets it. It bounces off the floor, hits the wall, and comes back to me, where I catch it. I repeat this multiple times to get the time to go by faster. This is stupid. Anger rises in me as I think about what has happened over the last hour. They couldn't even look at me... I throw the ball hard this time, and it comes flying back. Straight for my head. I duck, and the ball ricochets multiple times off the walls and floors. It finally comes to a stop after it hits Freddy straight in the head.
