"I'll go get some food." Atalanta sighs before dematerializing her bow and getting up.
"Thank you..." Ashura mumbles while feeling his ears heat up.
She says nothing, just opens the door and walks out without glancing back. He sighs as he looks at the ceiling with a bored expression.
It doesn't take long before Atalanta comes back with some plastic bags filled with food and beverages. Ashura glances over with a raised eyebrow, which she notices and rolls her eyes.
"The bet, remember?"
"Oh, right. How much did you earned from the initiation stuff again?"
"200 LMD."
Ashura lethargically gives a thumbs up to her, "Nice."
She hands over a plastic bread to Ashura, who quickly tears it and stuffs the bread in his mouth, while placing the empty plastic on top of his bed. Atalanta opens up her own can of apple cider drink while Ashura moves on to other food.
"I'm sorry." She glances over to him with a raised eyebrow at his sad tone while lowering her can.
"Thou art sorry?"
"For summoning you here. You were complaining about it before, and it made me realize how shitty it was to summon a completely unrelated person to another world. That shitty old coot did it to me and now I did it to you..."
Atalanta snorts which prompts him to lift his head to her before she chuckles.
"It is the first time I actually received an apology for being dragged into a mess; how refreshing." She shoots a small sad smile at him, "In my world, we, Servants, were called upon to fight with our Masters in a free-for-all deathmatch where the winners would be able to have their wish granted."
She turns to wistfully gaze at the ceiling, "My wish is for every child to be raised with love, no matter their background or what environment they are in. I will do whatever it takes to make that wish come true," She looks down to stare straight at Ashura, "Even sacrificing myself or killing thee shalt thou be against me, Master."
Ashura scratches his hair that is slightly longer now than when he first woke up, "Well, thanks for the warning, I guess. Don't worry, I am fully on board with you on your wish... On one condition."
She raises her eyebrow while leaning closer, "If thou ask for my body, I –"
"Nothing like that, you perverted cat. Jeez, I was going to make a joke about you dropping the old English but that just kills my mood."
She blinks before leaning back to her seat while crossing her arms with a huff, "Thou art a male. The female body is always in thine mind."
"I would like to think that I am different from others," Ashura says with a deadpan.
"That is what all of them say." She spats out while glaring at him.
"Woah, woah, calm down, Ata. No need to summon your bow." He raises his hands at her in a surrender while sweat is dripping from his face as he gazes at the bow.
"Thou art an annoying Master!"
"Well at least I'm not the one threatening to shoot an unarmed guy!"
"Threatening? No, it's a promise."
"Even worse!"
They bicker for a long time until Atalanta forcefully stands up and quickly leaves the room. Ashura crosses his arms while he scowls at the door.
After a few minutes pass, he drops his scowl and mutters, "We had such a nice start... Way to go idiot."
Seeing that Atalanta is not coming back and knowing that she has her own room for use, he puts all of the trash into the plastic and sets it down on the floor, before laying down and closing his eyes.
Ashura's face twitches before he cracks one of his eyes open only to close it back as light enters his eye. He groans while tossing around to search for his blanket, once found he pulls it over his head.
"Turn the light off..."
"Nope. This room needs a little bit of light from the sun, don't you agree?" V happily says while poking him with the sunlight from the window, further annoying him.
"Go burn yourself." He slowly gets up while rubbing his eyes.
"Well, I will be taking the food along with me in that case."
"Leave the food then."
"Nope."
Ashura opens his mouth but gets interrupted by the door swinging open, revealing Dobermann on the other side. She zooms across the room to stand beside his bed before clasping his hand in hers.
"Ashura, you're feeling better?"
"Yeah, some good rest and I'm good to go." For good measure, he smiles at her, which makes Dobermann look away from him while feeling her cheeks heat up.
"Good... Sorry I couldn't visit yesterday... There were some new recruits yesterday and I wanted to –"
"It's alright, Dobermann. I'm just glad you're here now." Her ears heat up now while her tail erratically wags yet she continues to look away from Ashura's earnest face.
V deadpans at them before sighing and lifting up the same replica container as Nearl had brought yesterday to put in front of him.
"Here, eat this. Got 5 more of meat soup for you over there if you are still hungry. Also, have you made up your mind on which mission?"
Ashura scratches his head while Dobermann opens up the container and picks up the spoon to dip it into the warm meat soup. She blows on it then brings it up to his face.
"Say aah."
"Aah – erm, you don't have to feed me, Dobermann..."
"But I want to?" She tilts her head while her dog ears droop a little.
"Ok..." Ashura gives up and opens his mouth for her, which makes her smile as she feeds him. Meanwhile, V squints her eyes a little at them before sighing.
V coughs, which accidentally made Dobermann spill some of the soup onto the blanket. The latter glares at her which makes V awkwardly cough while averting her gaze.
"Erm... Sorry... So, Ashura, your answer?"
He hands over V the files while tapping on the "Y" file, "This one."
"...Ok. I'll tell Doctor Kal'tsit." V just nods her head before leaving the room, but stops and glances back, "Oh, right. I or someone else will come here for another check-up and depending on what we find, you might be able to go out from this room."
"Finally!" Ashura raises his hand in a celebration style, narrowly missing Dobermann's spoon, while smiling before wincing as he feels his new fang teeth accidentally digging into his skin.
