- TWO YEARS LATER -

You were in the Avengers Tower, handling the transport of Dr. Helen Cho's stuff, while Tony and the rest of the team were on a mission. You didn't bother checking your phone the whole day, having too much work around the tower. Currently, you were walking down the hall and looking at papers in your hands when you heard the sound of high heels ringing out in the hall. You raised your head, only to see Maria coming straight towards you.

"Y/N."She said as she approached you, while you stood in place.

"Maria. Is something wrong?" You asked the woman who had a weird look on her face.

"Stark's been worried you weren't answering your phone. He thought something happened to you." Maria explained and you pulled your phone out of your pocket, only to see over twenty missed calls from Tony.

You breathed out, "I didn't check my phone. I'll call him later."

"Did you hear Clint's been hurt?"She asked and your face dropped.

"What? No! Is he okay? What happened?"

"He was shot in his side. I think he's fine for now, just try to get Helen here as fast as you can."She said and you nodded your head before she walked away to do something for Tony.

You unlocked your phone and called Tony, who immediately answered."Hello there, sexy. Thought you forgot about your husband."

You scoffed, "Oh please."

"Were you ignoring me? You still mad about last night?"

"Five times, Tony! Five times! I counted." You said and heard a chuckle from his end. "You didn't let me-"

"Woah there, Missy!" You heard Natasha's voice in the background."You're on speaker, behave. We're here too, don't wanna hear about your bedroom activities."

"Sounds like a personal problem."You said, hearing Tony's chuckle again and Natasha's gasp.

"Okay, what happened to the nice and shy girl I used to know?"

"Stark happened."You heard Steve answer, making you laugh.

"Yeah, seven and a half years with this guy tend to do that to you." You said before you heard Tony hush the team, which had started laughing. "Is Bruce there?"

"Yeah." Tony said.

"Banner, Dr. Cho's on her way in from Seoul, is it okay if she sets up in your lab?" You asked and heard Bruce answer you.

"Uh, yeah, she knows her way around."

"Thanks." You said to him before Tony spoke to you alone, putting you off the speaker.

"Tell her to prep everything, Barton's gonna need the full treatment."

"Is he okay?" You asked, concerned for one of your best friends.

"He'll live."Tony said.

You sighed, "Okay, I'll uh... get going. I have work to do."

"Are you sure you're just not avoiding me?"

"Can't hear you! Helen just got here!"You quickly said and ended the call.

Some time later, the Avengers aircraft was landing at the Avengers tower, while you, Maria and Helen were waiting. The doors opened and Natasha and a few nurses wheeled out Clint, who was unconscious.
