Chapter 9

He sighs as he leaves the room, entering a hallway that has more doors on either side while at the end lies a reception desk. He walks over to it but stops upon seeing that no one was there.

"Should I just leave this place...? But, I only have these clothes..." Ashura sways his body while stroking his newly sprouting beard as he tries to decide on his course of action.

"Ashura!" Amiya shouts from the reception desk while holding some clothes and a black helmet in her hand. She zooms towards him then crashes into him with a full-on hug that makes him let out a grunt. She hugs him for a little while longer before disengaging from the hug, but not without a chaste kiss to his cheek.

Her cheeks are red, but she cheerfully says, "Here, I brought you your clothes." She hands over the clothing to him while slightly leaning her head to him.

"Thanks, Amiya." He thanks her with a light blush while nodding as he holds his new clothing, but he notices Amiya's bunny ears drooping a bit while she leans back. He awkwardly smiles before placing his hand on her head to rub it a bit, which makes her smile and lean into the touch.

"Ehehe," Amiya giggles as she enjoys the head pat with her expression slowly growing brighter.

"Hey, Amiya; how many people can I bring with me?" He retracts his hand, earning himself a disappointed face while she sadly explains.

"Since you are going to Yan, you can bring a maximum number of 10 operators, including you that would be 11 people."

"Hmm... Ok. Also, are all of the operators that I can choose?" He shows her the tablet.

Amiya nods, "Yes, but most of them are out on mission or are on break right now. Look." She points to Fang, who has the word "Unavailable" next to her name, "This means that you can't bring them with you."

"I see... How about you or Nearl?"

She shakes her head while frowning, "I can't be with you because I am needed here; last mission was a special case. Doctor Kal'tsit assigned a new mission to both Miss Nearl and Miss Dobermann, which they left this morning."

Ashura clicks his tongue, "Well damn. I already knew about Dobermann but Nearl too?" He scratches his head, "Ah well, nothing I can do now..."

"Ashura... Are you really sure you want to go to Yan? I can order another squad to check the situation over there, so –"

"I get it. But, I had read up on Yan's society and found it interesting, so I kinda want to go explore the place first while I have the chance." Ashura cuts her off, earning himself a pout but not for long as she sighs.

"But... Alright. But remember to complete the mission and report back in 2 weeks.

"2 weeks..." He murmurs before nodding, "Yeah, that's enough time."

"Good... Ah, Ashura, do you want a guide? I'm free for the next hour, so how about a tour?"

He shrugs, "Sure."

Amiya smiles before pushing Ashura back into his room, "Go get changed then we can go to the Convenience Street, then the Dormitory, oh maybe visit the Cafeteria first since V told me that you ate little for breakfast. Or, maybe –"

"Woah, calm down Amiya. No need to tell me about the places now; I'll just follow your lead and you can explain it when we get there." He sends a reassuring smile at her, which causes her cheeks to redden.

"Ye-yes..." She mumbles while making herself look smaller but continues to push him.

She stops in front of the door, and he opens in, then quickly enters before Amiya decides to join him. He sighs before looking at the clothes that she had brought.
