I heard a squawk and my (e/c) eyes snapped open and I was face to face with a green parrot. I yelped and fell out of the bed in my hast to get away from the bird.

I groaned and turned over on my back, only to find a certain persons standing in the doorframe, looking at me.

"Jack?" I asked, tilting my head back so I could see his features.

He had dark brown eyes and long, dark brown/black hair, which was in braids and dreadlocks. There was a dark red bandana that covered his forehead and was tied behind his head. He had a goatee that was in two long braids. There was several strands of beads in his hair, and one strand that was draped across his forehead. Jack had a long vest over his puffy white shirt. He wore dark brown breeches, which were tucked into his brown leather boots. Jack had a medium brown tri-corn hat on top of his head.

"I only came to tell you that we are close to land so we are going to getting off the Pearl soon." He said calmly, as he raised his hands in defense. A ray of light glinted off one of the many rings on his fingers as he lowered his hands. "I also wanted to for you these." He tossed me a bundle of fabric and I was about to ask him what it was when someone called his name.

"Captain!"

"Yes?" Jack asked, a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Gettin' ready to depart."

"Well then." Jack said. "I would like to have my cloak back..." He looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"I'll give it to you in a minute." I gestured to the bundle of fanfic. "My name is (y/n)."

"(Y/n)." He said softly to himself, then he nodded walked out of my room and shut the door.

I walked over to the bundle and saw that there were black breeches, a puffy, white shirt, and leather boots. I rolled my eyes and quickly changed into the clothes. I grabbed his cloak before pulling on the boots and walking out onto the deck of the pearl.

"Jack?" I called, walking down the stairs and looking for him.

"You might want to come with me." Jack said from behind me and tilted his head, looked down at me, a slight smile pulling at his lips.

"Here's your cloak." I shoved it into his hands and stepped back from him.

He didn't say anything as he draped it over his shoulders and fastened it at his throat.

"Ready to go, men?" Jack called, his voice full of authority.

"Aye Captain."

Jack nodded and walked towards me, and ushered me along to the edge of the Pearl.

"Get in."

I wondered what he was talking about, then I looked down and saw a large lifeboat a few feet below me. I stepped into the boat, wobbling a bit as I sat down on one of the wooden seats.

About five other men climbed in with me, including Jack, who stood at the stern of the boat with his leg propped up on the edge.

"Forward men!" He pointed to the shore and the men rowing obeyed his command.

"Where are we going?" I asked to no one in particular.

Jack turned around and looked at me as if the answer was obvious. "To that shore."

"I know that. Why?"

"My friend..." Jack hesitated for a brief second, then continued. "Got himself into a bit of trouble."

I didn't say anything as we hit the shore and the other five men hopped out to pull the boat farther up onto the shore.

"Love, you come with me." Jack narrowed his eyes and looked down and me then turned to the other five men. "Each one of you spread across the island and look for Mr. Turner, he could be anywhere. One of you stay here with the boat, do you understand?"
