Everyone came. Everyone, including Y/N, Lee Kwang's daughter.
The men dressed in black suits had filled the hearse with numerous violets.
Sunoo loved violets; they were purple, and he loved anything purple.
The atmosphere was gloomy, but the sky was bright and the sun was shining so brightly for it was celebrating the return of her sunshine. Birds chirped and flowers bloomed.
Sunoo would have given anything to see that day.
The moment they turned around, they noticed the open casket held by the men in black suits. Good grief, apparently they would be able to see Sunoo one last time. Something they didn't really want to do. They wanted to keep the image of him smiling happily in their minds.
On each side of the casket sat two large candles. Both were, of course, purple in color. Above the casket were the violets brought from the house. And in the background, faintly playing, was Married Life, a Disney song Sunoo used to listen to and imagine himself dancing around with his family.
Y/N watched as everyone's heads were down. The tears flowed as she watched Sunoo's casket lowering to the ground.
Jungwon stood there, heart heavy. He already missed his best friend, his classmate, and his brother. They promised to graduate together, to work so hard so they could achieve their dreams.
Sunoo wanted to become a doctor because he wanted to help people and give them a second chance to live.
But then, no one gave him this chance. Instead, they heartlessly took it all away.
No one cried, they probably had no tears left to cry. For they cried it all the night before, letting heart-wrenching cries echo through the huge mansion.
Niki and his family stood close to them, watching Sunoo go six feet under. The sadness corrupted their inner souls and their hearts bled a river inside. Nothing could change the wretchedness they felt.
But the funeral was sweet sorrow, for in those moments of raw pain, when it feels as if the loving self screams in anguish, there are the memories of the good times that come as a blossoming spring meadow.
Jungwon turned around, slowly walking away with his head down. And then, everyone followed him. He was their leader after all. He was always there for them, they had to be there for him too.
Y/N stared at them with teary eyes. They just turned their backs on her. But she couldn't let them go before they know the whole truth. Because she never intended to deceive them.
So, she walked to Jay before she grabbed his hand, making him stop in his tracks.
"Let go." He said.
"No. I have to tell you all-"
"I don't think you realize how serious things are." He said, his voice as cold as ice. "We lost Sunoo. We lost him, Y/N. and it was all because of you."
His words felt like knives piercing her already broken heart.
"You lied to us. how c-could you do that?" He muttered, eyes brimming with tears. "I... I loved you."
She wanted to tell him that she loved him too. She wanted to let him know that she'd love him forever. But she didn't.
"I saw the man who killed Sunoo," He smirked angrily. "I was heading to my room last night and saw someone hiding, but when I wanted to kill him right there, he gave you a knife. I didn't want to believe that you're working with them but then you went into Jake's room and I don't want to think about what could have happened if I didn't come on time."
