I was up, making breakfast as adia sat on the floor next to my legs. I was making pancakes with bacon and freshly made lemonade.

I flipped a pancake and then checked on the bacon, moving to the side and tasting the lemonade. Adia scooted next to my legs again and I looked down at her and smiled.
"Want some lemonade?" I asked
She looked up at me and nodded, getting up as I put the big spoon over my hand. I offered her to drink from the spoon and she did, I giggled as she drank it.
"Shhhh, we didn't drink from the spoon!" I whispered as a tease, winking at her
She smiled at me as she nodded and put her finger to her mouth. I giggled and patted her head, putting the spoon down on a napkin and looking at the stove.
I leaned over her a bit and turned off the stove for the bacon, grabbing the spatula and flipping the other pancake. She moved a bit and I was able to be in front of the stove.
I cooked correctly as I heard the doorbell ring.
"Adia, darling, can you answer the door?" I asked
"Uh-huh!" She hummed
She ran off as I put more pancake batter on the pan.
Adia had long light brown hair with a natural bronze color mixed with it, she had light skin and was 13 years old. Her height was around 4'5 and she was currently wearing some shorts with a baggy shirt, a white cap on her head as it was on backwards.
Anyways, I heard the front door open and then immediately close. I looked back and got worried, adia soon coming in and coming to my side.
She leaned on me and watched the pancakes.
"Who was at the door?" I asked
She didn't answer as the door bell rang again.
"It's vanoss, of the banana bus mafia." She suddenly answered
"Oh- pft!!" I laughed," Nice one!!"
I laughed for a bit and then turned made these pancakes real quick. I then turned off the stove once they were done and adia got off me.
"But sadly, we can't just leave them out there since they came all this way." I teased
"That's dumb." She replied bluntly
I giggled at her and patted her head.
"C'mon." I teased
I headed off to the front door as adia followed. I opened the front door and smirked.
