Chapter 28: Confrontation

Cue to Takuya and Yuri covering their mouths to hide their laughter, suppressing the urge to roll in the ground upon that memory. Takemichi's face reddened again, except this time, out of embarrassment.

" That was a long time ago, " he mumbles,

" Not too long ago for me, Anyways, we'll be going on ahead. " She says, taking a hold of Yuri's hand and gesturing to the exit of the arcade.

Kiyoko and Yuri bid their short goodbyes and walked out as Takuya and Takemichi waved back, watching as their silhouettes disappear.

" I never knew you had a cousin, " Takemichi said, slightly confused on what's happening.

" Yeah, I didn't know she was my cousin either till 2 years ago too. No one in the family is allowed to talk about her, " Takuya sighs, sitting on one of the stools.

That left Takemichi confused. Yuri's kind, he still believes that there's no way she could do something bad like what happened in the future. Something must've triggered her, other than Kiyoko's death.

" Why not? Yuri-chan's pretty nice. Does everyone in your family hate her? " He asks,

" Probably everyone does, that's why she was sent to live with us. Ma told me it's because Yuri-chan's diagnosed with schizophrenia or something, " Takuya explains,

" Skisoprenya?? Huh, what's that? Is she… crazy? " Takemichi's question made Takuya glare at him, looking offended of what he had said.

" No, she's actually fine. Her parents made up that diagnosis because she kept on saying that she kept on seeing things. And don't say she's crazy, Yuri has already gone through enough… " he replies, half-scolding his friend.

Takemichi apologized sheepishly, rubbing his nape in habit. " What things do you mean? "

Takuya looks hummed for a moment, shrugging as his response. " I don't know, she doesn't like talking about it. Why are you asking anyway? Are you interested in Yuri? " His protective brother mode switched on.

Takemichi waves his hand in denial, stammering along the lines that he already has Hina and she's more than enough for him.

But he does wonder though. If Jeong-suk Yuri is the other time-leaper.

He looks at his hands that were slightly trembling since he's seen her earlier, the feeling of fear settling upon him. Shaking him enough to make him run away again. Takemichi thought how similar the situation is to when he first met Mikey.

No matter what he does, he still couldn't forget Yuri's last words to him. Her voice kept on ringing inside his head, morning to night and even though it disappeared sometimes, nightmares would plague his mind.

" Run away Takemitchy, that's what you'll ever be good at anyway "

Kiyoko felt frustrated, she didn't mean for things to escalate into this. The nightmare left such a bad taste in her mouth that no matter what she did, she couldn't just brush it off.

" Can you please stop talking about him? " Yuri's voice had visible irritation laced on her tone, eyebrows twitching in annoyance.

Kiyoko furrowed her brows," What do you mean by that, Yuri? Is it wrong for me to talk about a friend of mine? " she replies monotonously.
