Your feet began to throb as you continue your way back toward the town. You groaned and leaned against a tree for support.

"I wish we could fly but we have to suppress our energy. So that way Black doesn't find us." The blue-haired male states as he smiles apologetically.

"I know, it's okay," You smiled through the pain.

He came to a stop as well and leaned against the tree.

"I'm sorry that I made you come out here, but I could've done it myself." You finished.

"Really Y/n, I'm not letting you come out here alone especially this far, I don't want to lose you or anyone else." He frowned softly.

"I get it, you won't." You placed a hand on his shoulder.

"The city is up ahead, we're just gonna get everything we can and then go back." Trunks said

"I know I know, grab whatever supplies we need and go." You confirmed that you knew what you had to do.

"That's right, now let's go." Trunks smiled as the two of you walked further up ahead and then came the view of some destroyed buildings.

Making your way toward the building with the blue-haired male you two spotted three buildings that didn't look to be that destroyed.

"There are the three buildings that I was talking about, let's hurry and try to grab some stuff quick." Trunks said

We made our way into the first building which happened to be a small market store. As soon as we made it in there was a few shelves that seemed to have not been touched. You ran toward the shelve and began to grab what you could, checking to see if anything was expired, which half of the stuff was. You sighed as stress began to float in your mind. Then something out of the corner of your eyes made you flick them toward the shelf beside you. There stood a small can of Vienna Sausages. Grabbing it you gasped and checked the expiration date. Relief and excitement hit you once you saw that it didn't expire till next year! You glanced around looking for trunks seeing him down the aisle looking at some canned fruit.

"Hey, trunks!" You whisper yelled making him turn to face you.

"What is it?"

"Look what I found!"

You proudly held up the can of sausages.

His eyes widened but then the glanced away.

"You could have them, I know you're hungry."

You deadpanned.

"Are you ser-Get over here we're gonna share it silly."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah duh! I know you're hungry too, plus I wanna share with you." You messed with the can in your hands. Grabbing your bags you both sat on the roof where the sun had been in a perfect spot. Evening was coming. Opening the can you held the can toward trunks who smiled softly at you.

"Thank you y/n." He thanked as he took a sausage and began eating. You smiled and took one as well and plopped it into your mouth. The flavor of the tasty meat began to melt in your mouth. You sighed in comfort.

"Do you think things will ever change, like we'll ever beat them?" You asked

"I think we will, we just gotta hold on to hope for as long as we can just as mom says." Trunks said as he smiled over at you whilst grabbing another sausage.

"Yeah you're right..." you said as you frowned at the sky.

You didn't see it but trunks stared at you, while you looked at the sky. It was a sight that he didn't like, a sight that he wished he could change. He didn't like that frown on your face, he loved when you'd smile at him, he loved that you were just so bubbly in general. You were one of the three reasons why he keeps going in life.
