The Flow Of Time

"The blood bead its empty?!" Yakumo's eyes widened in surprise.

"You mean that everything we saw in the vestige, the world wants it back?" Louis couldn't believe that something like this is happening.

Ayn nodded, he was sure of it, there's no place for doubts. Everything is going back to where it belongs, that means Ayn will go back too, and maybe the same would happen with Rathion.

"If that's the case, then what was the point of turning back the time?" Yakumo asked, feeling conflicted.

"I think this is related to the vestiges, but I'm not sure." Louis thought that maybe the memories they saw affected the present, bringing back the future events: "For now we must go back to base, there's so many things we need to research on."

"Wait," Yakumo's voice stopped Louis.

"What's wrong?"

"There was a human girl in the vestige memories, right?" Yakumo didn't saw the contents of this vestige since he was sleeping, but Louis told him the most important parts: "Where is she?"

"We didn't saw her when we came here, not even that rebellious revenant."

There was a different in time thanks to Ayn, he came here in the middle of the night so, Louis and Yakumo were forced to come when it was almost sunrise. If the girl was somewhere around here, then the right time to find her would be at this hours.

"First of all, let's confirm if you still have the blood beads." Yakumo suggested.

Louis nodded and found that the blood beads are gone, it seems that everything was already taken care of. If they don't change things before finding the vestige, then everything they see in those memories will become real, affecting the current flow of time.

"If what we saw in those memories are affecting the current flow of time, then that means Ayn will frenzy like Rathion did?" Louis gaze focused on Ayn.

"Then let's go back before that happens."

They still weren't sure if Ayn was taking Rathion's place, but as a precaution they decided to go back to base where they could treat Ayn better if he went to frenzy.

When they got back to base, there was no sign of Ayn going into frenzy, apparently his state was unaffected by the memory of the vestige. Yakumo felt relieved, seeing his comrade suffer is something he doesn't want to see again.

There are still many unexplained things that must have an explanation, maybe if they manage to find all the Chronos vestiges, the answers will come to light. But for now taking a break would do them no harm, at least that was what Yakumo thought.

"Hey! Ayn." Yakumo called out to Ayn, attracting his attention: "Want to go soak in the water to relax a little bit?"

Louis told Ayn before to not accept everything Yakumo wants to do with him, not because he wants to go, Ayn is obliged to go with him. Even so, Ayn wasn't the type to refuse someone, he found it difficult to say no. This could be a big problem for him, but he was not bothered by it, since he didn't dislike Yakumo at all.

Going together with Yakumo and relax in the water was not a bad idea, this time has nothing to do with drinking so, Louis wouldn't have to worry about scolding Yakumo for getting Ayn drunk.
