'Did you see the news?' Chanyeol asked Namjoon.
'Yeah...' Namjoon sighed. 'At this point I don't know if what they are doing is good or not...'
'Well, it depends on the tv station you watch...' Hoseok said. 'In some they are excited they can peek under the secrets of Interdependents and in others they are portraying it like some kind of religious cult celebration...'
'It's stupid.' Jin cut them without a doubt. 'Samhain is a quiet festival. Festival of the Dead. We should keep it low and respectful.'
'The shitshow they are doing won't do them any good...' Minji agreed with him.
They saw the flames between the trees and more people around it.
Minji waved to her parents and Siyeon and Bora, who joined them. Soon after Kai and Jennie found them in the crowd.
Jennie was looking at Yoohyeon who was glued like a puppy to Dami's shoulder.
'My daughter is behaving as she didn't talk with her soulmate for 3 hours on facecall today...'
'I like Dami. She has balls...' Kai smirked.
'Well technically she doesn't...' Minji nudged him with her shoulder.
'Oh, shut up! She does. She has these huge ass balls like you...'
'KAI!' Jennie shook her head. 'Behave like an adult, please!'
'Why do men think we need to have balls to be badass?' Minj didn't leave the topic.
'MINJI!' Jennie whined.
'True...' Hwasa embraced Minji's shoulder proudly.
'Don't encourage her!' Hoseok and Jiyong exclaimed at once.
'Ok, ok... Jinnie to the rescue...' Jin barged between them and grabbed Minji's shoulder. 'Come we will collect the little devils so they won't have stupid ideas...'
Jungkook, Taehyung, Yeonjun, Yoohyeon and Dami were talking excitedly. Each of them took out the small, thin white candles their parents gave them.
'Will you wish for your soulmate to appear, hyung?' Jungkook asked Yeonjun.
'No. I only wish for them to be happy and come to me at the right time...' Yeonjun answered. 'That's how the red string works, right? No matter when or where some meetings were meant to be.'
'Wise.' Jimin nodded. 'But they say sometimes you can feel the other soul at midnight during Samhain. Even being far away... So I hope I will feel it.'
'What if you won't? Maybe he or she hasn't been born yet?' Dami smirked.
'Don't say things like that!' Jimin exclaimed, terrified. '14 years age gap!? Now way in hell!'
'That was a good one, noo...' Jungkook stopped himself. He dared to call Dami 'noona' just once and she smacked his head so hard, he saw stars.
Taehyung wasn't happy about it...
But Dami, Jimin and Yeonjun were the trio that he allowed to be a bit closer with Jungkook. They often hang out together. Played games. Watched movies, had sleepovers.
'Ok, brats! It's midnight in 10. Come here...' Jin called them and they stood in front of the adults.
Minji lightened up the candles the kids were holding.
'No talking.' she reminded them. 'Listen to the wind and flames. Feel the air.'
Five children were standing in the line. Looking at the flames of their candles.
