DON'T MIND THIS MESS :)
Y/N's POV
I nervously bit my lip as I stared right at my best friend of ten years. Peter Parker.
In my eyes, Peter was the definition of perfection. Not only did he have a heart of gold, willing to do anything for the greater good. He was also insanely attractive; with his curly brown hair, gorgeous warm chocolate eyes, and ripped body.
I had met the boy over ten years ago when he was moving across the hall from my apartment into his aunt's and uncle's apartment. The moment we saw each other it was an instant connection, and the rest is history.
We were currently studying in his room; his aunt working late, leaving the two of us alone for the night. My parents had agreed to allow me to stay the night; since Peter and I had been having sleepovers since the age of eight.
"Are you okay?"
"Huh?" My eyes widen as I snapped out of my thoughts. Peter's eyebrows furrowed as he looks back at me.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Peter chuckled nervously. " Is something wrong?"
I shook my head vigorously, as embarrassment sinks into my chest. "No, no, no. I just zone out; you know me. Um... what were we talking about?"
Peter grinned with a laugh, butterflies filled my stomach at the wonderful sound. "You asked me to help you with the chemistry homework?"
"I did?" I tilted my head; I had done that homework- oh. "I did! Yes. I totally asked you for help on that! And totally didn't mean to ask for something else completely!"
The truth is I hadn't meant to ask Peter for homework help.
FOUR HOURS AGO
I took a deep breath, before making my way over to Peter and Ned. It was time, five years in the making... I was finally going to ask Peter Parker; my crush and best friend on a date! It was going to happen!
Once Peter had seen me, he gave me a wave with a smile. God, he was perfect-
"Hey-"
"Are you free tonight?" I blurted out with wide eyes and a forced tone.
Both Ned and Peter look taken back by my bluntness. Heat rose to my cheeks; panic settled in.
"Yeah, of course," Ned answered excitedly. My heart dropped to my feet, I tried not to show my disappointment in Ned's involvement.
But this is my chance I can't lose it. "I'm sorry, Ned I was only asking Peter. I'm sorry. I should have thought about it before saying. My bad."
"No, you're good, Y/N." Ned smiled.
"I'm free." Peter finally answers. "What's up?"
A grin plants itself on my face; I went to answer, but suddenly doubt hits me like a truck. "I need help with the chemistry homework-"
NOW
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"I like you." I forced out. My eyes widen at my confession.
"Oh." Peter's cheeks turned pink slightly.
I covered my face with my hands as embarrassment entered my soul. "Oh my god. I'm so sorry."
"I like you too."
My head snapped up with a gasp.
