Liana's POV

I have really been trying all these months to be cheerful and take things lightly for the sake of my babe. I know stressing myself will harm him and as much as my situation sucks, I do not want to lose him. I found myself thinking and zoning off a lot. Even when Simona is talking to me. Talking about her, she has been released about five minutes ago, after my lawyer went to reopen her case. The most annoying part was that she was never going to be tried and she was being held here without any evidence that she committed the crime she was being accused of. To be frank, I also thought she was guilty when Alex first told me about the switching of Mr. Gonzalez's drugs. But getting to know her very well, all those doubts fled away, vanishing into thin her. I found out that just like me, she has been hurt so many times because of the men she chose to love. She had endured emotional and physical violence in her relationships. Her last boyfriend nearly killed her and that situation was what made her realize how little she loved herself. This also made her understand that the only person she has in this world is herself and that she ought to protect and love herself. She, therefore, made the decision to walk away from her relationship and focus on herself. She got a job to take care of Mr. Gonzalez and has been happy ever since. I learned a thing or two from her story. When she said the only person you have in this life is yourself, I felt it. I felt she was talking to me, I felt she was trying to make me see how I don't love myself and always put others before me. I felt she was calling to a better life of self awareness, dignity and self love and for those words, I appreciated her.

"Miss Liana, Miss Liana!" I raised my head and turned in the direction the voice was coming from.

"Simona, why are you back!" I asked, looking at her standing at the other side of the bar, dressed in her own clothes.

"I forgot to thank you. I am free now just because of you."

"No need to do that Simona. You have become a friend and if anything, I should be thanking you. You made me discover myself and my self worth. Thank you."

"You are an angel on earth. I wish you all the best in your trial today. If at any time you need anything, don't hesitate to reach out to me." She took my hands and caressed them, giving them a gentle squeeze before letting go.

"Go and live your best life friend." I bid her goodbye. Not long after she left, the cops came for me to escort me to the court house.

Third Person POV.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we here live to witness the third hearing of the Miller-middleson murder as Mr. Miller's wife, Mrs. Miller is being charged for their death, stay tuned as we cover the entire proceeding. Once again, my name is Angela Diaz and you are listening to news in brief on Tv ACB." The news anchor announced with a straight face and her  whole focus was on the camera. The trial was being broadcasted on over ten TV channels including BBC and CNN as the case was of national interest.

"Your honour, I would like to call my last witness for this case, Mr. Pharrell Smith. He is here with his wife Mrs. Camine Smith. As we all know in this country, Mr. Smith is a household name and he is very upright in all he does. We may all recall that, He is best friends with the deceased. That is why i have called him to the box to give us an insight of who Mr. Miller was." The prosecuting attorney uttered, inviting Pharrell to the box. He took his oath to say the truth and nothing but the truth and they proceeded with the questions.

"Mr. Smith, your relationship with Mr. Heath Miller has been a good one. We have all seen and you have showed us how good friendship is. The truth is that, most people have been dreaming of your kind of relationship with him. Can you tell us for how long have you known him?"
