"What the hell is wrong with you?" inis na tanong ko kay Haize ng muli na naman itong lumitaw sa office ko. "First, you made me and Marius talk when you know we are after each other's neck. And then you attack his mansion when you know Avery is in there?"

"Our circle knew that both of you are friends," kaswal na sagot niya bago nagde-kwatro. "Hindi ba magtataka sila kung bakit hindi na kayo nag-uusap. You need kaswal talking sa harapan nila and then kill each other when no one is around, it's up to you. And also for the attacking, it's just a trial. Will you just shut up and let me do my job? Hindi ba si Avery lang ang gusto mong makuha?"

Nilingon ako ni Haize.

I glare daggers at him na siyang ikinatawa niya.

"Come here," sabi niya maya-maya.

Lumapit ako at saka nakita ko ang maliit na case na nakapatong sa ibabaw ng center table na nasa harapan niya.

"What's that?" tanong ko.

"Something that can kill an Alpha. Say hello to amoura," sagot nito sa akin.

Nangunot ang aking noo.

"Why do you have something so dangerous?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Hindi ba gusto mong mapasayo si Avery for good at hindi ka na mangangamba sa kanya," sabi niya sa akin bago kinuha ang isang caliber 45 na baril at saka pinalitan ang magazine nito ng amoura. "With just one shot, Marius will ba a goner," sabi pa niya bago iniabot ang baril sa akin.

"Wait, why would I kill him? All I want is Avery and my kid not to kill him," protesta ko sa kanya.

"Are you stupid? Sa tingin mo ba mapapasayo si Avery kung nariyan si Marius? He will never let you have him. Trust me. Alphas are very defensive when it comes to their mate, especially if that mate is their fated mate. Kill Marius and all of Avery will be yours," sagot niya sa akin.

Oo alam ko iyon.

"But Avery will suffer if Marius dies," sabi ko.

"Then bite him again. Ano ka ba? Are you that dumb?" sabi pa niya.

May point si Haize.

"Hey can I ask you something?" tanong ko sa kanya bago tinanggap ang case na kinapapalooban ng baril at amoura.

"What is it?"

"Do you ever have a fated mate?" tanong ko sa kanya.

Tumingin siya sa akin.

"I once had," tipid niyang sagot.

"Once?" curious kong tanong.

"Yeah once and he's dead," sagot niya bago tumayo at inayos ang suot niyang suit. "Anyways I have business to attend to. Keep that gun. Use it when you have the chance to shoot Marius when the time comes. And also congrats on your coronation tonight," sabi niya bago humakbang palapit sa pintuan at tuluyan ng lumabas.
