Not too long ago, I found Stephen's hospital. He was...awake. I was on top of the world, but also sad. I missed the moment when he came out of his coma. He'd been practicing walking and talking for a few months.

I dedicated myself to making sure every moment from then on with him counted. I introduced Stephen to all of my friends.

"Ben, remember that friend I told you about?" I asked, Stephen shaking from the effort to stand. I didn't blame him. It'd been a long time since he'd done that. Ben's eyes widened, while Alex, Gerard, Eugene, Rowan, and Teddy looked confused. They all glanced at each other, and immediately singled out Ben as the one who knew. 

"This is Stephen Ahn." My heart rate was rising so quickly. Ben looked ecstatic for me. He grinned, shaking Stephen's hand. Stephen gave him the exact same grin back. I knew Ben and Stephen were two of a kind. 

"I didn't think Gray could make other friends. It looks like he did just fine without me, though," Stephen said cheerfully. I rolled my eyes. 

So...yeah. Stephen sorta just become part of the gang. It was pretty smooth, actually. Him and Gerard got along great talking about the guitar all the time. Stephen and Alex would occasionally share facts about their favorite soccer teams. Even Teddy liked Stephen, despite him being way taller(lol). 

Of course, he became friends with Eugene and Rowan too. And Stephen and Ben...damn, did those two share the same braincell or what?

Moving on, today I was playing video games at Stephen's house. He'd ordered Chinese food, just like the old days. 

"Y'know, Gray...I've really missed you," Stephan began right as I won again. I glanced at his eyes. Their once bright color had faded slightly; a kind of sadness lingered in his once endlessly joyful gaze. 

"What's with you all of a sudden," I asked, smiling. Stephen looked even deeper into my eyes, leaning forward.

"No, I mean, really missed you." I was a little flustered by now, which I wasn't used to. Then again, I wasn't used to hearing that odd tone from Stephen. I'd never heard him talk like that before. I mean, he did sort of flirt before the incident, but not with this smooth, deep voice he was using right now. It was still somehow really sweet.

I saw a hint of impatience for me to respond in his eyes, so I figured I should say something.

"Well, I've missed you too. But you already knew that. What else are you saying," I asked, inviting him to keep talking. Honestly, I could listen to that boy talk all day. 

"I...I...Gray, you're so special to me. You're the best thing in my life and you were the one motivating me to wake up that day I opened my eyes in the hospital. We've been distant from each other for the past year through no fault of our own,  and...and I'm worried we aren't close enough for this to work out anymore. But I...I really..." Stephen struggled to say the words. I smirked.

"..love me?" I asked, heart bursting from the cute expression on Stephen's face. He nodded, blushing furiously, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't either. One thing led to another, and suddenly, our lips were so close. 

So, so close.

And then they touched. My hands grasped at Stephen's button up shirt, and he fumbled with my school uniform collar.

The entire gang was together except for Gray and our newest addition, Stephen. We were all marching to Gray's place like a ✨cult✨ so we could all hang out, then we'd ask him where Stephen lived. It was the perfect plan, created by yours truly 😌💅

"C'mon guys, y'all are dragging behind," I called over my shoulder, marching ahead of everyone. Teddy was grumbling under his breath about how hanging out with "school friends" on a Saturday should be illegal(like playdates aren't a thing anymore 😤)

"What if Gray likes sleeping in or something?" Rowan asked nervously. 

"'Scuse me? If I can't get my beauty sleep, neither can Gray," Gerard said, annoyed. 

"Where's the aforementioned 'BeAuTy'?" Teddy asked sarcastically, narrowly ducking a swing from Gerard.

"Shut up, guys! He's obviously gonna be awake because he must be studying 🙄 how else would he have good grades ✋😒?" I asked. Everyone murmured in agreement as we finally reached Gray's door.

After a moment of hesitation from everyone, I started knocking on the door lightly. No response.

I started knocking a bit harder. Still, nothing. Alex began to say maybe we should go, but I wasn't gonna give up so easily.

I started pounding on the door, not too hard but still pretty darn loud. This time, we all heard something. 

*RUMBLE* *CRASH* "FUCK!" *CRASH*

"That...didn't sound like Gray," said Eugene. Teddy narrowed his eyes, always ready for a fight. Gerard ever so slightly shifted his weight, and Alex glanced at me for further "instructions". I knew he trusted me. Rowan and Eugene looked worried. 

The door flung open, revealing a dazed and flustered...Stephen!? Of course, all of us weren't used to his voice yet, so we didn't recognize his yelling from a distance.(lowkey feel bad 😔)

"Heya, friend-" Alex began with a grin, before stopping. We all looked at Stephen from head to toe. For starters, his button up shirt was like, half down, the collar hanging loosely off his shoulders. And those marks on his neck looked vaguely like-

Gerard covered all our eyes(don't ask how he grew like 12 extra limbs like a cartoon character).

"Um...Are we interrupting?" I heard him ask politely. I couldn't see because of Gerard's hand over my eyes, but I knew Stephen must've looked embarrassed because of his tone. 

"I...uh, give us a second?"

Behind Stephen, I could see a blushing Gray putting his shirt back on. 

Well, well...looks like we've got a new couple in the gang.
