Savior's Seeker

After receiving Holly's letter and seeing how devastated she was, Viktor realized that he couldn't sit there and only play Quidditch; he had to do something to help the girl he loved, and the best way to do that was to go to England and join the Order of the Phoenix.

Viktor knew that it would be dangerous, but with his connections in Bulgaria and with Aleksandur's help, they would be able to get more information on the whereabouts and activities of Voldemort. He could use his connections to the old friends in Durmstrang for any leads, and if Viktor continued to play Quidditch, no one would suspect him.

Viktor decided to go to the Bulgarian Ministry and talk to his father and best friend about his idea. He knocked on his father's door and was invited in. Marco smiled, stood, and hugged his eldest son, “Viktor, what are you doing here?”

Marco noticed the severe look on Viktor's face and his brow furrowed, “Is something wrong? Has something happened to Holly?”

“No, Papa, at least not yet,” Viktor said.

A concerned looked crossed Marco's face, “Vhat is going on, my son?”

Viktor sat down and began to explain what was going on in England, that things were getting worse and that Viktor felt that Holly and Harry were in danger, “Father, vhot do you think of me joining the Order of the Phoenix? From what I can gather, these people don't know how to protect Holly and Harry. They are trying their best, but the Order is listening to a man who wants them to spare the lives of their enemies.”

Marco thought for a moment and shook his head, “That is no way to win a war, especially if the other side has no problem with the killing. I understand where you are coming from, Viktor. Durmstrang taught you battle magic, not this ridiculous dueling, but what about your Quidditch?”

“I thought about that; I can continue to play but help gather as much information for the Order as possible. Quidditch vould be a perfect cover. I could also ask Aleksandur for his help since he works with magical creatures, and they trust him.”

Viktor's father thought, “I think it is a good plan. I will help you in any way from here without getting directly involved unless absolutely necessary.”

Viktor smiled and hugged his father, “Thank you, Papa. I am going to talk to Alex right now.”

With that, Viktor left his father's office and headed toward his best friend's office. Once Viktor got there and entered his office, Viktor explained his idea to his best friend, and Alek immediately agreed to help in any way he could. Viktor hugged and thanked his friend, but Alek offered Viktor a piece of advice.

“I think it vould be best to tell only a limited amount of people about your involvement. Perhaps only Holly and Harry's parents and those not completely devoted to Dumbledore. The Headmaster may have their best interest at heart, but the old man is after something else regarding the twins, and you and I both know that,” Alek advised.

Viktor nodded, “Da, there is something suspicious about their headmaster. He lets them get into dangerous situations far too often. It is almost as if he is either testing them or preparing them for something,” Viktor observed.

Viktor thought and decided that aside from the twin's parents, he would inform the Weasley twins and their older brothers. They seemed to be the only ones to question Dumbledore's actions.

“I will also ask them not to inform Holly of my involvement. If she knows, she will be vorried about me all the time.”

Alek nodded, “I agree. Vhen vill you go?”

“Tonight, the sooner I speak to their parents, the better.”

Alek hugged his best friend once more, “Good luck.”

“Thank you,” With that, Viktor left the Bulgarian Ministry and went home. He had a lot of preparations to make before he left for the Potter Mansion. Viktor wanted to contact his old friends to see if they could help him gather information before leaving.

It was around dinner time, and Sirius and Remus were about to sit down to have their meal when the couple heard the fireplace roar to life. They looked at each other and went into the den to see who had arrived. There were only a select few who could get through the wards without an invitation. Remus and Sirius were surprised to see Viktor Krum step out of the fireplace.

Remus stepped forward and hugged the young man, “Viktor, it's good to see you. How are you?”

Viktor hugged Remus back, “I am good, Remus; how are you and Sirius?”

“We're doing well, considering,” Remus said.

Viktor nodded, “Da, Holly wrote me and told me vhat is going on.”

“Yes, Sirius and I are going to try to handle it using the Wizengamot, but I don't know how successful we'll be.”

“Vell, I vanted to talk to you and Sirius about something.”

At that point, Sirius walked into the living room. He greeted Viktor and asked him what he wanted to talk to them about.

“I vont to join The Order of the Phoenix to protect Holly and Harry.”

Remus and Sirius looked at each other. On the one hand, The Order could use all the help they could get. On the other, they didn't want the man that Holly loved in danger. Both men knew that if something happened to Viktor, Holly would be devastated and probably never recover. But the look on Viktor's face told them there was no dissuading him.

“What did you have in mind?” Sirius asked.

“I thought I could help by gathering any information I hear as I travel with the team. Alek and my father vill do the same from the Bulgarian Ministry and pass it on to me. Alek also thought of talking to his uncle and seeing if his uncle could convince the verevolves to either remain neutral or fight for our side instead of Voldemort.”

“Do you think Alek's uncle can get through to the packs?” Remus asked.

Viktor nodded, “Alek's uncle is vell respected in the Vervolf community.”

Remus and Sirius thought it was a good idea, but they didn't believe that Dumbledore would go for it. But Viktor solved that problem, “The only thing I ask is that Dumbledore does not know of my involvement in the Order, only those that are not in his pocket.”

Instantly, Remus and Sirius began to rule out practically everyone except for the Weasley boys and maybe Sirius's cousin Tonks. The more the couple thought about it, the more they thought it was a good idea to keep Viktor's involvement a secret.

Sirius stepped forward and shook Viktor's hand, “Welcome to the Order.”
