Laying down in a hospital bed, Akiri was covered in bandages, IV's and tubes inserted into her skin. An oxygen mask was on her mouth and despite all the injuries she had, with her closed eyes and silent breathing, she looked so peaceful.

Not like the bloodthirsty fighter she usually was.

After Tsukumo found Akiri and she passed out in his arms, he ran faster than he ever could to Dr. Okina's office and they immediately put her on a surgical table to do an emergency surgery.

The rest of Cell 13 and the other inmates from the different buildings were alerted along with the supervisors.

Her injuries consisted of a major concussion, a fractured skull, a fractured wrist, two broken fingers, 5 broken ribs, a sprained ankle, an injured eye, major blood loss, bruises, cuts, and fourth degree burns.

To put it simply, out of everyone she received the most life threatening injuries. Somehow she survived and battled with all those injuries. She was lucky that her lung didn't get punctured by her broken ribs or else.

Mukuro was right, no one would be able to possess her body in that state because they'd die.

"Jyugo-kun... will Aki-chan be alright?" Nico asked the older teen beside him as they sat in the infirmary, looking at Akiri. They were finally allowed to visit her. "It's been two days and she hasn't woken up yet."

Jyugo silently stared at the girl, mindlessly holding her limp hand. 'This is my fault...' He frowned as tears built up in his eyes. 'Despite being all injured she kept fighting for us...'

"Don't worry, Nico," Uno said, appearing beside them with Rock. He grinned. "Hibari-chan is strong. I bet she's right now beating up Death."

Rock put his hand on the two youngest's shoulders. "It'll all be okay Dr. Otogi said she would wake up soon. Once Hibari wakes up we can all eat together!"

Nico weakly smiled, wiping his tears away. "Yeah."

It was silent, although it wasn't an awkward one, it still had some tenseness to it. They were all worried for their dear friend and older sister-like companion. Seeing Hibari all beat up and injured like this made them open their eyes that she could have died. She was human too and not a strong, unbeatable fighting machine.

She could have died. They could have died.

"Xan...xus..." Akiri whispered out and the boys looked at her in shock. There they saw Akiri with half lidded eyes staring at Jyugo, squeezing his hand. "X-Xan...xus..."

"Hibari-chan!"

"Aki-chan!"

"Hibari!"

The four exclaimed and Rock immediately rushed to find Dr. Okina while the others crowded her.

"Are you okay?! Does it hurt?! Let me get Kaguya-chan!"

"Do you need water?! Forget it, I'll get you some water!"

"Hibari...!" The tears seemed to finally fall from Jyugo's eyes as he leaned over her, holding her hand. "I'm so glad you're awake... I was so worried."

Akiri looked into his mismatched eyes and smiled gently, still half awake. "Jyu..." her eyes slowly started to close as she succumbed to sleep again. "...go..."
