WELCOME TO EXTRAS! Technically, the story is over now and you don't have to read this. But if you chose to stay just be aware this isn't a bonus, it's just knowledge on, ''What happened to Macaque's Ear?" "The Mystery behind the Cabin?" etc.
The last 3 chapters were pretty Back To Back, huh? Well, I may or not have been excited to end it. But that doesn't mean it's COMPLETELY over if you noticed the sudden hints... with the liquid and rain...
[The Cabin and Woods]
Sun Wukong and Macaque found the cabin by wandering around in the colored forest. They thought it was beautiful and comfortable so they went there often. The secret behind the trees is that they hold memories, and every morning at dawn they project images in different colors of places they explored in the forest. (That's why one of the chapters was called "Colored Memories") They get the color from their leaves. Also, sometimes they would make sounds from memories but not with the images. They get the sound from their bark. This will relate back to Macaque's missing ear.
[Macaque's Ear]
On one of his travels, he had come across the cabin again. Ironically it was getting dark and he needed a place to stay. So he stayed the night in one of the rooms, at dawn. The trees started to make sounds of his childhood with Wukong, which drove him a bit crazy. He was extremely hurt from hearing Wukong's voice speak so nicely to him. Due to his six ears, he could hear it clearly even while trying to cover them. He felt as if they were a curse and so he tried clawing them out, he managed to get one of them out, but after realizing how much that hurt he stopped and had a mental breakdown.
So yeah, much fun in the Lego Monkie-verse
