The Formans' stood outside the local bus station waiting for Laurie to arrive home for thanksgiving. It was starting to snow and despite the multiple layers she had on, Bethany was still shivering.

"Laurie's bus isn't here yet. Can we get in the car and turn on the heat? I'm freezing." Eric asked their father, also shivering in the cold.

Red rolled his yes "I'm not wasting gas just so you can be comfortable."

"Daddy, can we at least go wait inside? it's like 20 degrees, I think I might freeze to death." Bethany complained, trying to wrap her coat further round her body.

"I'm not going in that bus station with those people." Kitty shook her head, bringing Bethany into a hug.

"God, I'm freezing." Eric complained again.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, your sister's bringing a friend home... so you'll be sleeping in the basement." Kitty told her son.

"The basement? They should sleep in Laurie's room... Or Bethany's." Eric replied, annoyed at the thought of being banished to the basement.

"Sorry, Eric but I'm not sleeping in the basement. It's creepy down there in the dark." Bethany said, feeling bad for her twin.

"And Red, I've been thinking. Maybe this Thanksgiving we should skip the big turkey. Small ones are on sale at Piggly Wiggly." Kitty continued.

"This family doesn't scrimp on holidays. Can you imagine my mother sitting down to a chicken?" Their father replied.

Kitty rolled her eyes, with a forced laugh "Red, your mother won't eat my cooking anyway... so that won't be a problem."

"Dad, they should sleep in the basement." Eric tried to change the topic of conversation.

Their parents simply ignored him as Kitty carried on her rant "Red, last Thanksgiving she said her jaw wasn't strong enough... to chew the turkey. And that was a magnificent turkey."

"Dad, it's my room."

"I work myself to the bone for that..."

"All right, that's it! Hold it. Now, Kitty, don't get worked up over my mother. And you, you're sleeping in the basement! And we're all having a happy damn Thanksgiving!" Red shouted.

Bethany rolled her eyes at her family's usual dramatic conversations just as they spotted Laurie and her friend approaching them.

"Mommy, Daddy. This is Kate." Laurie introduced her friend as they all greeted her with a smile "Oh my god. Why did you make Bethany wait in the cold? She looks like she's freezing." Laurie said, hugging her sister.

"Alright, alright well. Let's get in the car. No use in standing out here any longer." Red said, unlocking the Toyota so everyone could get in.

Bethany watched her twin and Kate talk, Eric's mouth hanging open in awe at the girl. Her brother smiled happily before the pair finally got into the car "Oh, this isn't gonna be good." Bethany whispered to herself.

Bethany had just finished her first shift at The Hub after spending weeks trying to convince the useless manager to fill in the forms so she could actually start working.

In the end, it was a fairly easy job and Bethany was happy to be able to finally start saving up so she could get out of Point Place one day.

The blonde haired girl finished wiping down a few tables, untying her apron, she grabbed a strawberry milkshake and went over to sit with her friends.

"So this Kate, is she hot?" She heard Hyde ask as she sat down.

"Excuse me?" Bethany asked without thinking, a clear tone of annoyance to her voice.
