You could hear Sabo's foot tapping on the ground, his eyes boring into the table with a hand on his chin. "Correct, but...the other day at the club was very risky for the wolves, and I'm worried it was only the beginning of something more."
"What do you mean?"
"Though I cannot shift myself, I have kept close tabs on the packs as best I can. They seemed to have had some mutual understanding of not shifting in the city. But all of that seemed to be thrown away that night."
"So...you're saying Doflamingo is still a threat?" you sighed, fearing the worst for Law. You remembered the way he stood up for you that night, but...he also nearly got his ass beat by that pink feathered freak - so it was difficult to imagine round two, or three, or...whatever the count was for them at this point.
"That's jumping ahead, but unfortunately...yes. And Jinbe has worked very hard with the officials here to make sure reports of any wolves get handled confidentially. But if the wolves aren't doing their part to protect their identity..."
"It's free game."
Sabo nodded.
What a fucking mess, you thought. If Amanda were to make a report about the wolves, what would that mean for them? For Law? You didn't know how much the 'officials' knew, or who that even included. But all you knew was that you wanted to protect your wolf.
"But hey," Sabo spoke up, waiting for your eyes to meet until he would continue, "I have a lot of connections around here that I'll get in contact with to make sure it doesn't get out of hand."
You nodded.
"I...can't really say 'don't worry' or anything arbitrary like that. But just know that we've all got your back and will do our best!"
He kind of sounded like Luffy there, you thought. Brothers, of course.
Smiling softly, you thanked him.

When you walked into your apartment that evening, the last thing you expected was to see Boa Hancock chilling in your kitchen with Law.
"Speak of the devil," Law crowed as he leaned back on the counter, arms crossed. He looked incredibly hot in his black shirt with the sleeves pushed up, chest tattoos peeking out from where Law clearly - and definitely intentionally - 'forgot' to button up.
"Ah, yes. The woman of the hour who totally blew me off," Hancock snorted, approaching you with a punishing glare that made you back up until you hit the wall behind you.
"Um..." stammering, you weren't sure what was going on. Law was unmoving, but you remembered they were friends so she wouldn't hurt you, right?
"We were supposed to hang out, remember?"
You gulped at that. "Well, I-"
"Though it seems you may have gotten...preoccupied?" She passed a devilish grin to Law who only shrugged.
"I'm sorry, I-"
"Don't worry about it, hun, I'm just teasing." She booped your nose and sauntered back over to Law.
You wanted to melt into the carpet when she walked away. Gorgeous and intimidating - you weren't more fortunate to have her on you and Law's side.
"But I am here to discuss the matters from that night. If such chaos is to continue, I fear my sisters and I will not be safe here anymore. Nor will any other wolf. Including you, Trafalgar." The way she hissed his name made you shiver. But his nerves were steel, and he remained unbothered.
