Asrar was ecstatic. Everything was working out perfectly. As he entered the school, nobody found it suspicious. As soon as he stepped foot inside the school, Lumi's friends ran at him.

"Lumi!" James and Jay yelled.

Blaze kissed Asrar's cheek making him want to vomit. "I LOVE YOU!" Blaze yelled.

"Should we leave you two alone?" Amber smirked.

"No!" Asrar yelled. Everyone gave him a weird look. "I meant to say that there's nothing going on between us . . . so . . . uh . . . yeah." He found the idea of something going on between Lumi and Blaze absolutely disgusting, but he wasn't sure why.

As Asrar walked down the hall next to Blaze, he felt so short. Lumi was about 5'2 and Asrar was 6'0, so it felt weird that Blaze was taller than him.

They e got to Ms. Johnson's room. "She still isn't here," Blaze sighed. "I wonder where she is."

Asrar knew where she was. She was in the attic. Lumi was in the basement.

"I hope the sub is nice." Blaze laughed. "Gotta be better than yesterday's . . . speaking of Morro . . . how did you escape?"

Asrar's father's plan was to make Blaze think he imagined the whole thing. To help push him towards that, Asrar said, "Escape what?"

"Morro took you away. Where did you go?" Blaze asked.

Asrar furrowed my eyebrows as if he was confused. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Morro called us both into the hallway, knocked me out, and stole you!" Blaze yelled.

"No, he didn't . . . I got dismissed Blaze," Asrar said. "I had a doctor's appointment."

Blaze shook his head. "No way."

At lunch, when Lillian asked how Lumi escaped, Asrar told her the same things that  he told Blaze.

"Why'd you lie?!" Lillian snapped at Blaze.

"I didn't!" Blaze yelled. "I saw it!"

"First Lumi thought Ms. Johnson was a villian. Now you think Lumi was kidnapped when in reality, she just went to the doctor!" Amber yelled. "You guys are crazy!"

Everyone stood up and started yelling. The only one who wasn't standing was the robot, who acted like he was a human. When he stood up, everyone silenced.

"Blaze's heartbeat is much faster than normal which is evidence of a lie-" Bylur began.

Blaze interrupted. "My heart's beating fast because I'm yelling."

Bylur continued. "However, Lumi's heart is beating normally. This means that she is most likely not lying." That wasn't what it meant in Asrar's case. Asrar was so used to lying that it almost felt like the truth, so his heart didn't beat that fast.

"That proves you're lying!" Jake yelled at Blaze.

"Why would you do that?!" James asked.

Asrar smiled at the utter chaos surrounding him and for all they knew, he was innocent.

Lumi had gotten used to the uncomfortableness of the chair she was stuck in.

Asrar came downstairs. He was holding something in his hand.

"What is that?" Lumi said. Her voice was hoarse from not speaking for almost a day.

"Food," Asrar answered. He dropped the food on her lap.

"How the hell am I supposed to eat it?" Lumi asked. "My hands are tied to the chair."

"What do you want me to do about it?" Asrar snapped.

"You can always untie my arms," Lumi offered.

Asrar rolled his eyes. "I'm not a dumbass."

"I'll still have my legs tied," Lumi reminded him.

Asrar shook his head. "I'm not untying you."

"I don't want to starve!" Lumi yelled. "What are going to do, feed me?"

"Of course not!" Asrar said. Lumi noticed a light blush on his cheeks. She was about to tease him about it when Morro walked down the stairs.

"What's all the yelling about?" Morro asked his adopted son.

"How is she going to eat?" Asrar asked his father.

"Feed her," Morro commanded his son.

"Fine," Asrar said. "Hope you like . . ." He checked the label. "Doritos. Why did we get her Doritos?"

"Because that's what we had in the fridge," Morro said. "Anyway, have fun." Morro went back up the stairs.

"Doubtful," Lumi whispered.

Asrar held a Dorito up to Lumi's mouth. Lumi bit into it and pulled it from his hands with her teeth. They finally worked out a system. A few minutes later, when trying to eat a Dorito, Lumi accidentally brushed her lips against Asrar's hand. Lumi blushed and looked away.

"Sorry," Lumi whispered.

Asrar grabbed Lumi's chin and tilted her face so she looked at him. "It's fine."

Lumi wished she could cover her face as her cheeks heated up to what felt like a thousand degrees.

Asrar smiled and let go of Lumi. He held up the almost empty bag of chips. "Want any more?"

"I'm okay," Lumi whispered.

Asrar said a quick goodbye, then walked back up the stairs.

About thirty minutes later, Lumi realized that Asrar wasn't coming back. She bit her lip, unsure if she should try to escape or not. Then she remembered something.

An eight year old Lumi came home from school. She hadn't gotten her powers yet, but she did know that her father had powers and was once a ninja, however he had been retired ever since his daughter was born.

When Lumi got home, Lloyd noticed that his daughter was in tears.

"Sweetie, what's wrong?" Lloyd asked.

"I was bullied at school today. A girl named Tiana called me names and she tried to hit me," Lumi cried.

Lloyd kneeled down in front of Lumi. "That sounds horrible."

"I'm never going to school again!" Lumi cried.

Lloyd tucked a piece of hair behind his daughter's ear. "It's going to be okay. Want to know why?"

"Why?" Lumi asked wiping her tears away with the back of her hand.

"Because ninja never quit."

"Ninja never quit," Lumi muttered to herself. She sighed. How was she going to escape? She tried to wiggle out of the ropes, but they were too tight. She had once seen in a movie that someone had chewed through the ropes that had held them back. She figured she was screwed either way, so she might as well try.

An hour later, one of her hands was freed. She untied her other hand and then her feet.

She stood up carefully, trying not to alert anyone that she was up. She walked lightly over to the stairs and walked up. She set a hand on the doorknob. Before she could convince herself to go back down, she opened it . . .

And stood face to face with Asrar.
