Love Of My Life - J.P

May has turned into June meaning it was now nearing the end of term, the summer holidays were looming closer causing Dorothy to be filled with excitement to see her parents again not to mention to have a break from school work, especially after the fifth years had taken their O.W.Ls.

Dorothy was currently sitting in the library with Lilly, Marlene, Alice and Mary, each of them studying for their transfiguration exam, when all of a sudden Marlene let her head fall on to the table making her friends jump at the loud noise. 

"God Marls, you'll lose your last two brain cells if you carry on like that!" Dorothy laughed at her friend as she peered up from her parchment she was currently scribbling on.

"Ha-ha, very fucking funny!" Marlene mumbled, her voice muffled, her head still laying in the corner of her elbow.

"I can't even remember learning this!" The blonde whined. 

"Well you could if you paid attention in classes " Lilly sighed not looking up from her parchment as she furiously wrote, line after line of work.

"What's the question your stuck on?" Alice asked. Always the type of friend to help her friends no matter what, even if there problems where if there own causing.

"This one! What's the spell used to counter any poorly performed spell or only partially transformed object?" Marlene huffed as she threw her parchment over to Alice in a huff before crossing her arms over her chest in distain.

"Tha- that's something we learnt in second year Mar, the answer is Reparifarge" Alice told her friend gently, Alice's words caused Lilly's head to shoot up from her work, Dorothy was sure the red head had given herself whiplash.

"Marls your almost as bad as toe rag one and toe rag two!" She told her with a amused chuckle, using the nicknames she'd given James and Sirius. 

"Hey! That's not entirely fair Lil's! James and Sirius are actually really smart " Dorothy stood up for her friends, giving Lilly a slight kick on the shin from under the table.

"That's only because they've got you for a friend Dot !" The Lilly laughed.

"Well of course, how else!" Dorothy joined in the laughter and nudged ger shoulder against Lilly's.

"Shhhush!"

They looked over to see madam Prince's stern eyes looking over at the table of girls with a finger to her lips.

The five girls looked at each other before trying to contain there giggles.

Dorothy, Remus and Peter where watching the last quidditch game of the year, as they cheered on James and Sirius, Dorothy caught herself reflecting on the year that had past in a flash if an eye. They only had two more years left at Hogwarts and she had no what she wanted to do with her life after she left school, she didn't know what she wanted wanted do for a job or a career. And to be honest it scared her a bit.

Not knowing what her future would hold for her terrified Dorothy. Her parents told her not to worry and they she had time to figure it all out but it didn't stop the queasy feeling in her gut whenever she thought about it, wanting to know what her future would be.

I could really do with a cup of tea! Dorothy thought, now almost whiling the match to be over so she could go in search of a warm beverage in her favorite mug.

As James peered at the crowd trying to see his friends his eyes fell on Dorothy, he noticed she was zoned out and he knew something was bothering and he promised himself he'd figure out whatever it was and help her figure it out over a nice warm cup pf tea if able.
