My Nocturnal Flower ? Enmu x Reader

A/N: This chapter is mostly humorous, a bit lemon–ish too

Pain. Mild pain was what woke up Y/N. She was suffocating, feeling strong pressure crushing her body from all sides.

She gasped, glancing at the demon. Was he... asleep? Seemingly he was having a horrible nightmare, he kept whimpering in sleep and clinging to Y/N with his full strength. At this rate, her bones would be crushed, if this pressure continued any longer.

„Hey! Wake up! You are suffocating me! Please, wake up!" She cried out loudly, shaking him.

Enmu finally opened his eyes. He looked terrified.

„Are you alright?" Y/N asked, concerned.

„I... I lost..."

„Do you regret what we did or something?"

„Huh? I lost to the lower six, now I am weakest of the lower moons! Waaaah!!!" He sobbed.

„That was just a nightmare. Your left eye has not changed at all." She assured.

„It ha... it has not?" Enmu sniffled.

„Of course not, silly thing. Wait." Y/N said, handing him a small mirror. „See? You are still strongest."

„Waaaah! It was so scary!" He shivered.

„Poor thing." Y/N cooed, wiping tears off his cheeks with her thumbs, before hugging him gently and caressing his back. „Come here. It is alright. Everything is alright."

„Y/N." He whispered, hugging her. She was so comforting. So sweet. Was he really ready to live without her? After she treated him so nicely when he was sad? What if he would start missing her? She was so gentle and caring... almost motherly... maybe it was because she saw him in such a vulnerable state, weeping like a baby. Could it be that her desire faded, after they became one? Why did it hurt so much, thinking about it?

„Are you feeling better?" She asked, gazing into his beautiful eyes.

„Yes, thanks to you." He said, snuggling closer.

„I am glad." She mumbled, stroking his hair. „I should be the one, thanking you, though. You made me so happy. I did not know I was capable of experiencing this much happiness. You see, my whole life was a nightmare, I clung to it only because dying sounded scarier, but I was not really living until we met, I merely existed. I am happy I lived long enough to meet you, Enmu. You are the only good thing that happened to me. Only you made my life worth living. You will probably eat me now, right? You said you would eat me after making me happy. I was a bit surprised when I woke up, I did not expect to live this long after making love to you. Go ahead. You can kill me now. Thank you for everything."

„No!!!" He cried out, taking a deep breath to get it together. „No. Not so soon. I will make you happy again, I will eat you some other time, no need to rush."

„Really? We will do this again?" Her eyes lit up.

„Yes. Many times." He smiled. She was as addicted to him as always. „I will make sure your dark fantasies become reality."

„That is going to take forever, I have unlimited fantasies involving you."

„I like challenges." Enmu replied, kissing her. He was not sure how long he was going to delay killing her. He could not really wait until she would become a pillar, could he? It was too risky to spend too much time with her. She was dangerous in so many ways... What if he accidentally grew fond of her, instead of following his plan? He hated the way his heart was beating around her. „Not this hilarious anxiety, again!" He thought „Why am I overthinking? She is just a pawn... no. She is more than that. She is more deadly than my usual tools. Also cute. Ugh! I really should kill her before it is too late. Still... I will not. Not until I am done playing with her. I will be fine, I am not going to fall for her. Eventually, this passion shall fade, no matter how strong it is right now."
