A Simple Wish | Ninjago x Reader

'Todays the day', changing into some warmer clothing for the snow surrounding the village and leaving some food for Genie, you went out and asked some of the villagers for directions to Darkley's school. After getting some questioning looks and genuine questions as to why you would want to go there, you make up the excuse that you know one of the teachers there and wanted to pay them a visit. At the explanation, they gave you directions to the school along with a comment about how long it would take if you were going to walk there. Brushing the comment off and thanking them you move to leave the village, gripping your food and water supplies. 'Since it's almost midday and the time that Lloyd had rampaged through the village was at noon– I should be able to meet him halfway before he gets here' marching on, filled with determination you open the doors of the village wall, popping in your earbuds from your bag that you had found a few days prior and played some music. 'All that's left is to figure out a way to get him to trust me'.

You continue your journey through the heavy snow thinking of different ways you could get Lloyd to trust you, which had slowly developed into you doing very close analyses of his character and past. During that, you had come to feel more of a need to protect Lloyd from the horrible things that are going to happen to him and empathize with Lloyd's abandonment issues, seeing as you knew how that felt. It had been maybe an hour and you were still treading on, enjoying the sound of crunching the now lighter layers of snow. Though that enjoyment had stopped pretty quickly– seeing that you had stumbled across a dead body. Well– more like stumbled over a supposed dead body. After letting out the most ear-piercing scream you think you might have ever made, you look over the body, slightly moving their hood to check their pulse. After confirming that the person was most definitely alive, but might not be if left out here, you turn the body over. 'HOLY 💩!' Lloyd Garmadon was the unconscious face that had met yours, making you jump, but quickly scooped him up in the winter jacket that you tore off yourself to help keep him from getting any colder. 'HOW DID THIS EVEN HAPPEN??, THIS WASN'T IN THE SERIES!', Hauling you and Lloyd back to Jamanakai as fast as you f🚚🚚ing could, you might have beaten a world record. (forget the master of speed, we have the reader) The whole 10 minutes it took you to practically fly back to Jamanakai you felt Lloyd shake and shiver in your arms, 'Jesus Christ, this world is gonna be the end of me'. Running through the doors of the village wall that were seemingly left open after you had opened them when you had first left hours ago, you ran to your house and kicked the door nearly off of its hinges. At the sound, Genie jumped so hard they fell off of their cat tree in your room— not that you had noticed, not caring enough to shut the door of your house,  you set Lloyd down in your bathroom and started a warm bath. Setting him down as gently as you could with your shaking hands, you hadn't realized how exhausted you were from sprinting a two-hour-long walk in twenty minutes along with holding a small child in your arms and only being powered by sheer adrenaline. So you leave Lloyd to warm up in the tub and crash on your couch (not before finally closing your front door), still making sure to keep an ear out in case Lloyd wakes up.

After about thirty minutes of you just sitting on the couch you grab a thermometer and go back into the bathroom. Checking Lloyds temperature and seeing that he was finally not unconscious but in a state of tired delirium, you grab some clothes and leave the small child to get changed. After he's finished you take him in your arms and lead him into your bedroom, figuring that it would be more comfortable than the couch. Tucking him in you can practically see any signs of leftover energy leave him, turning to leave you feeling a tugging force on your shirt. Looking, you find Lloyd's hand, "Please don't leave". Tired eyes meet yours, you can't even be sure he's seeing you and not some blurry blob. "I won't", running a hand through his hair you sit at the bedside and watch him fall asleep. Sometime after Lloyd fell asleep you feel a buzz in your pocket, (also noticing that you haven't stopped playing music since you left) it's a notification.

"You called Sensei?" Nya enters the room as Wu finishes another cup of tea. "Yes, there's something I'd like to discuss with you and— where are the others?" Hearing the question Nya groans "Still lazing about, I swear they're too blinded by victory, we got lucky when we beat Garmadon"

"I hear your troubles Nya, but you won't have to feel this way for long. I can feel something, someone new has entered our world and I think it'll be the perfect thing to teach our ninja" Nya's eyebrows raised as Wu spoke. But before Nya could question more, Wu sent her off, saying she should check and see if anyone has made any reports to respond to. As if he had told the future, the second after Nya entered the comms room a report popped up, 'Garmadon spotted!? I have to tell the boys and Sensei!'.
