Chapter 37: It's past your bedtime
Song: Rhinestone eyes by gorillaz

Y/n POV
"Y/n, why are you back?" I hear a voice echo. I blankly look around the room trying to point out my surroundings. It was a day care sort of room, just the usual pit of balls and the slides.

It was bright, filled with beautiful Colours that was obviously pointing out to lure kids into getting their parents to spend an extra few dollars here.

"Y/n where are you!" I hear a panicked voice call out. I felt uneasy, my heart was beating uncontrollably fast. My eyes finally catch what seems to look like a way out. There was something off about this place, even though it looked safe I could tell it wasn't.

"Y/n don't go! The fun hasn't even started" I hear a high pitched scream. I begin to walk fast but silently, in a cautious manner. Whatever this thing was, it was eagerly looking for me and that's never a good sign.

"You shouldn't of came back"

Finally I arrived at the exit gate, when suddenly a figure jumped out front of me, startling me. It had fancy clown pants with the colour red and yellow. A creepy huge smile plastered his face, with a head that had the colours and even the shape of a sun.

"HOOO! HOOO! HOOO! Helloooo! New friend! You're sure up late!" The figure squeaked, jumping up and down. I remained silent, glancing around. A desk not that far from where I was standing caught my attention. It looked like something a receptionist would use.

Ignoring the figure who kept rambling, I began walking to the reception desk. He gave off the vibe like he was worried and jittery. Scurrying behind me he began talking again.

"THere's only ONE RULE about the daycare! keep the lights on........ON........" he grumbled, fumbling with its robotic arms. I didn't stop in my tracks but continued to keep walking on my journey.

By an accident I bumped into what seemed to be a few colourful blocks. They collapsed on to the ground with a small thud catching the animatronics attention. "AHHH NO NO!! Which was the bottom? which was the top!! Ugh CLEAN UP! CLEAN UP!!!" The figure panicked, trying to figure the pattern.

I finally got to the reception desk and found a button. The sun guy looked at me and ran over. "Uh- New friend? we arn't allowed over there! your gonna get us in trouble!" He grabbed on to the side of the desk, pointing at the switch.

I look at him once more and then proceeded to press the button. The lights switched off and the room became pitch black. The animatronic began to scrape itself and fidget, as if it was malfunctioning.

"NO! NO!!! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!!! LIGHT ON, LIGHTS ON! I WARNED YOU, I WARNED YOU!!!!!!! Ah KACK UUGH AHHHHHHHHH" he wailed, horribly like he was being murdered.

I clutched at my chest and watched with my eyes wide open as the sun guy fell back words out of my view. There was silence for a few seconds until I heard the most sinister laughter echo the room.

Suddenly a pair of hands clutched at the desk, pulling it self up. A moon looking person stood up with the most horrifying look ever. He had a disturbing face like the sun guy and even a small bedtime hat with star designs on it sat on his gigantic head. His eyes were beaming a red dangerous colour.

He was the opposite of the sun. He was now a moon.

"Naughty girl .......naughty girl........ it's past your bedtime, you MUST be punished....." he creaked, before jumping towards me.

I woke up with a jolt, catching my breath. "Hey, what's wrong did you have a bad dream?" Michael asked, worried. He sat at the drivers seat, clutching the wheel while driving down the highway.

I clutched my chest, feeling the sweat trickle all over my bod. Finally after coming back in the zone, I come back to my senses of the situation. "I just get horrible dreams once in a while about strange things" I admit. Michael slowly nods his head facing the road.

"Welcome to my world" he joked. The faint tune of the radio filled the gap of silence in the car. "It's crazy how I use to drive you around, now your driving me" I point out.

"Yeah" Michael laughs. "You know I use to look up to you like you were my mom". I raised my eyebrow, a smirk forming my face. "Everyone use to think you were my kid" I join in.

"Remember that one time you told me to hit William with a brick?" Michael mentions. The memory slowly appears in my mind, of my instructions to Michael.

"Well, I remember he was being a dick head to me I don't know why. So I got a brick from the old construction near our place and I prepared to actually hit him with the brick" Michael continues his story.

"Did you do i?" I asked intrigued. "Nope he didn't end up showing home for days I eventually forgot about it" he snickers. I roll my eyes in disappointment.

"Well done, you got close enough" I compliment. Michael gives a small bow and then he sets his attention back on the long road. I was left with my own thoughts again, while looking out of the window.

Where was William? What was his next move? What would happen after I found the bodies? I couldn't just blow the case off and let William walk free. I bit my lip anxiously, thinking about the suffering that will come from this mission.

"Hey, Y/n! We're here" Michael said, coming to a halt. It was our first destination. The old abandoned building of Circus baby entertainment and rental stood in front of us.

The building looked more broken down, but still good enough to go inside. There was trash lying around the area and the same sign of circus baby on the building. Unfortunately, the sign wasn't in good condition due to vines and holes covering it.

"I thought this place was sold?" I asked confused.

"After the disappearing of the kids a few years ago and the burn of the old Freddy's, people were shitting themselves. They thought it was haunted or something. All the deals were cut off and the building stood stranded" he shrugged.

Suddenly, we hear a huge crash coming from inside of the building. We both turned our head towards eachother, with widened eyes. "You think this is safe" Michael stuttered. I give a small smile. "Very" sarcasm left my mouth.

Heading out of the car, I closed the door with a thud behind. Michael placed his hands in his jacket pocket, shivering as the wind blew at us. I couldn't help but notice how tall his figure was. He definitely got his fathers genes.

"Did they ever find out what happen to Freddie's building burning?" I asked. Michael clenched his face, in thought. "Well, the whole place was burned down so nothing was really found. Except for the few animatronic parts here and there" he explained, his eyebrows furrowed.

"They think the security guard died in the fire. He had fallen asleep with a lit cigarette and didn't get out in time" Michael finishes explaining. Gulping in guilt, I remember the actual truth of the occurrence.

I would be lying if I didn't admit I felt bad for the family who had lost the security guard or the ones who suffered from this unfortunate event. Even worse Laiba and Daniel lost their job and I never even got to say goodbye. Worst of all, Henry had lost his whole entire business and his life.

I felt Michael place a hand on my shoulder. "You ready?" He asks. I look at him, giving him a small nod. I took my gun out of my coat pocket, clutching at the handle. Michael looked uncertain but he picks up a pole from the ground.

I smile at his innocence.

"Let's find those bodies" I let out my orders.
