The duel in the Astral world part 1.

Start from the beginning

"I am sorry to disappoint you Sir Dumon, but I am no Goddess", I then replied to him with, and managed to sit on the edge of the bedside now. "My name is Zaira. I will be more comfortable with that".

"Lady Zaira then", Dumon spoke formally and kissed my hand like a real knight would do. "It is a pleasure to meet you. I am sorry for the misunderstanding, but I thought you must be such since a holy creature has chosen you as its wielder". That had me puzzled beyond belief. Who was he talking about?

"Mistress!".

Cy's voice rang as clear as day inside the room now. Wind was blowing and out from somewhere underneath Sir Dumon's armor was a light ball appearing. It was now floating in midair and began materializing itself. Cy in all his wolfy glory were soon standing before me and I couldn't help but smile happily at that.

"Cy!" I tried shouting. All that earned me was a loud coughing fit.

"Easy there my lady. You have several ribs broken", Dumon now told me.

That had me lift eyebrows. Had the fight earlier been so intense? That did indeed explain a lot of things. Including the bandages, I could feel I was wrapped up in, and the long, white, silk nightgown I was wearing.

"Mistress", Cy said rather concerned.

He lifted his left paw and placed it at my abdomen. Then at my ribcage. As he did, I could feel the pain fade away slowly. I knew the injuries was still there. Even Cy could not heal that, but his powers did make it possible numbing the pain. Call it a bandage made out of the purest of wind.

"Cy", I said gratefully.

My hand rubbing his head and wolf ears in gratitude. Knowing Cy was here with me, did make the dread I was feeling lessen. No matter where I was, we could overcome this together and return to my brother. Or so I thought.

"Dumon! Dumon! Where are you?!" a new voice shouted. It sounded like it came from the corridors somewhere.

"I am here Nash!" Dumon responded instantly and opened the door to show the newcomer the way. I on the other hand was not feeling so well. Had he said Nash?

"Finally! I been around the whole castle looking for you!" The person, by the sound of it was a male, huffed. "You disappeared so fast from the war meeting I got worried. Why did you leave...?".

The male stopped himself as he reached the doorstep. Dumon had of course walked out of the way to let the king enter my supposed chambers. There was no doubt that this was indeed a king. The golden armor and blue cape were a dead giveaway. Only royalty was having such wealth. My brother and his golden gauntlet were proof of that. Secondly, I had seen Nash enough times from Vector's ship to know who he was, the minute he entered. The purple tentacled hair stood out like a flame to a moth. It gave me a horrible realization. Oh no I am in Nash's kingdom. I got saved by my enemies. I am never going to live this down. How am I supposed to get to my brother now with our archenemy breathing down my neck?! I could kill him, but with these injuries I would die as well. What to do? What to do?

"Oh. Who is this?" Nash quirked out and got me back from my inner internal struggle.

For now, at least. He walked inside the room. Curiosity written on his face. Properly because a wolf was standing there inside this chamber. Cy however, quickly disappeared and became part of the wind. He did not like to mingle with humans unless it was yours truly. It left more questions really.

"Oh, this is the female I was talking about. You know the one who got injured and had to carry here on Mach's back", Dumon explained right away. "You have been so caught up in the war. I never truly explained her situation".
