"So Cam, do you mind if I call you Cam Cameron?" Jeremiah asks while looking up at Cam who is sitting next to Belly "Mm-Hmm. Yeah, man. Feel free. That's funny." Cam says while letting out a light laugh "Cool," Jere replies

"I'm glad you're here, Cameron. I know your mom, Denise, from the club. I have heard a lot about you." Susannah says while smiling and putting her glass down "Thank you so much for having me, Susannah. My mom says hi," Cam replied while smiling at her

"Cam, have you ever had Miyeok-Guk before? It's a Korean birthday tradition," Laurel says while handing Cam a bowl "No. Looks so good. Thank you," Cam says while taking the bowl and setting it down in front of him

"Belly told me you're vegetarian, so I didn't put any meat in it," Laurel says "Thank you, Laurel. Oh, geez," Cam says whispering the last part "Why don't you eat meat, Cam Cameron?" Jeremiah asks him

"Uh, the meat industry is, like, the number one contributor to global warming," Cam says "mm," Jeremiah says while nodding his head "And I just, I like animals," Cam says shrugging

"Just don't come for my leather jacket," Taylor says while laughing "I'm pretty sure you mean pleather," I say tilting my head and looking at her "She got you there," Steven says while laughing

"You know, um, I'm thinking maybe we should go to Nicole's party," Belly says while looking at me and Taylor "What party?" I say confused "Uh, we got invited earlier, but she said you could come," Belly says shrugging her shoulders

"Yes, Oh, my God. I love you, I'm so excited," Taylor says while looking at Belly "You gonna come?" Taylor asks turning her attention toward me "Uh, I guess." I say

"So Tate, how's this new boyfriend of yours?" Susannah asks me while smirking and out of the corner of my eyes I can see Conrad lift his head "Well we aren't dating, but he's cool," I say looking down at my plate

"You should bring him around for dinner soon," Laurel says "Yea, that's a good idea," Susannah says "No she shouldn't," Conrad says in a rude tone "Why not?" Susannah asks already knowing why

"He, uh, just, uh, not a dinner with the family friends type of person," He says looking at me "I'll ask him," I say rolling my eyes at Conrad

"Oh, I just remembered, one of the girls for the deb ball stepped out so there's an extra spot and I kind of already told Paige that you would fill in," Susannah says giving me a weak smile "Oh?" I say confused and a little upset

"Do I have to?" I ask "Yeah, they wouldn't be able to find anyone else," She says in a sorry tone "Okay," I say putting my head down

After dinner, we decided to get ready for the party, I tried to say I didn't want to go anymore but Belly pulled the 'It's my birthday card and I have to go but she said I could invite Dylan so I did just that. I pulled a black mini dress out of my dresser and some Converse out from under the bed and I set them on the bed and began taking my clothes off

"You are not going." Conrad says while bursting through my door causing me to try and cover myself up with my hands "Conrad, I'm naked," I say with wide eyes and he closes the door

"It's nothing I haven't seen before," He says while coming and sitting on my bed and handing me my dress "Here," He says and I grab the dress from him and slip it on "Now, you aren't going," He says

"Then why'd you hand me the dress?" I say confused "Cause you were naked," He says in a duh tone "I am going," I say sitting down next to me

"No." He says "Why? If you can give me a good reason, I won't go," I say "You just shouldn't, you'll be third-wheeling the whole night," He says shaking his head

"No I won't, I invited Dylan," I say with a smirk on my face "Are you serious?" He says annoyed "No, I said that for fun. Yes, I'm serious," I say rolling my eyes

"And please tell me you're not actually considering being a deb just because my mom asked," Conrad says still annoyed "She already told them I would do it. I can't just tell her I'm not going to, did you see how excited she was?" I say tilting my head

"Whatever, as long as you don't ask Dylan to be your date," He says lying down "I am," I say still sitting up and looking down at him "Why?" He says "Who else am I going to ask? Belly is taking Cam, Jeremiah said he would never go to one of these, Steven is going with Shayla, and I don't know anyone else here besides Dylan," I say

"Whatever," He says "Hey are you- oh sorry I didn't know you were busy," Taylor says while walking into my room and smirking "I'm not busy," I say standing up "We can go. Are you coming?" I look back to see Conrad staring at me

"Yup, mhm." He says while standing up and following behind us "Oh, you have to ride with Conrad, Cam doesn't have enough room in his car and Jeremiah already left." Taylor says looking at me over her shoulder

"That's great, gives us more time to talk," Conrad says grabbing my hand and dragging me ahead of Taylor "We have nothing to talk about," I say as we reach his car. He opens the door for me and motions for me to get in "I could have opened it myself," I say sitting down

"Whatever," He says getting in and closing his door. The first couple minutes were quiet all you could hear was the faint sound of the music playing from the radio "You really can't invite Dylan over for dinner," Conrad says breaking the silence

"Why not?" I say not looking at him "Because it's weird. I'm your ex and if you bring him over that's just awkward," he says "You bring Nicole over." I say "But that's different," He says "How?" I ask

"Nicole and I are dating," He says "You and Dylan aren't," he finishes "I feel like we could have been by now if someone didn't crash our first date leading him to believe you were still in love with me," I say annoyed "but I have a girlfriend why would he have thought that?" he says trying to act oblivious "hmm, I wonder why?" I say fake gasping and looking at him

"It's not like you told me you were still in love with me or anything," I say putting my hand over my heart "Whatever," He says "If I remember correctly, you also said you still loved me," He says letting out a light laugh

"I said there will always be a part of me that will have love for you, you were my first love, and you can't truly ever lose love for them. I also said I was moving on and that it was I'm doing, I can't not allow myself to fall in love with anyone else," I say leaning on my hand that's propped up against the window "Do you love Dylan?" He asks "no, but doesn't mean I can't" I say

"Do you love Nicole?" I ask not wanting to know the answer "I don't know, she's a great person. she's nice, funny, pretty, but it's just I don't know, " He says as we pull up to the house
