The group had safely made their way back to Hotel Obsidian, unfortunately Fei and Christopher could not as they had fallen victim to the Kugelblitz. They were gathered on the second floor lounge, Echo laying a couple of feet above the air, still exhausted. "So, how is it that we're still here," Allison shatter the lengthy silence then had tripped into, "But the whole of the universe is going down the cosmic shitter?"
"Maybe we're just the last to get flushed." rallied Viktor.
"Wasn't talking to you."
"Hey, has anyone seen Klaus?" Luther checked.
"Or Dad?" added Slone.
"They'll be here." Diego assured.
"Really? Did they...hit traffic?" Ben sassed, "Look, people, we're alive because we're special, right? We're the only ones who can save this universe."
"Uh, question." Number Three lifted a finger, "Didn't we just try that and fail miserably?"
"Yeah, it's because his plan was stupid." Knife man insulted, "I got a better one."
Squid boy scoffed, "'Course you do."
"We go with the large hard-on particle accelerator. You guys do some science, and..." Diego clicked his tongue, gesturing a golf motion, "...we launch the Kugelblitz into outer space. Didn't think I knew that, did ya? It's in Switzerland."
Echo sat up straight in the air, hovering over the couple, "What's a hard-on?"
"It's 'hadron'," Ben correction saved them from having to answer, "Not 'hard-on,' ya moron!"

"Actually, he did blow up half his family." Diego pointed out.
"Oh, you wanna talk about family problems?" The squid boy's tone made him sound like a diva, "You know what should have blown up is your face on that neck!"
"I wish I had a cake to hit you with it in your face!" Next thing the two men were speaking different languages, Diego in Spanish and Ben, Korean. Echo was really started to miss her days of quiet and solitude.
"Hey!" Five cut them off, "You guys done? The universe is disappearing outside. So you can keep rearranging the deck chairs of the Titanic, if it makes you feel better. But the fact remains that we're too late."
"Five, come on." wavered Luther.
"It's over, Luther. We failed."
"Come on." Viktor sat up, "It can't be over over."
"Yeah, come on, Five." Diego pressured, "We gotta figure this out, man."
"Okay. How about we take a step back?" the boy clapped his hands together, "Look at the big picture here. Most of us have spent the last twenty-eight days trying to stop the world from ending. What exactly have we accomplished?"
