After a while we sat in silence until he began to laugh. "What's funny?" I ask.

"I haven't cried like this since I was like 13 bruh..."

"Interesting...why?"

"I don't know." He replied looking down. I lifted his head up as I actually started to feel bad. "Duke I understand you was going through things, but that gave you no right to take it out on me, if something or someone is bothering you then you need to come talk to me." I explained to him.

"Do you realize that you had me up in here crying almost every other day?" I questioned.

"Your not g-gonna listen. No one ever does." He sniffled. Then I realized. "My mom never listened, my dad was fucking anonymous. My brother, never saw or heard him. Anytime I did that nigga was behind glass and held by guards.. The only person that believed in me and made me feel...wanted, was Dee—" His voice cracked as he broke out crying again.

"But he ain't here now." He finished off. By then I damn near cried and brought him into a hug.

Duke cried in Kai's shoulder as they laid there. Soon Kai heard soft snoring and realized he fell asleep on his chest. He simply smiled and pulled the blanket over them.
