Crystal P.O.V

I looked away "sorry" I said looking back at the water "you don't have to be sorry" he told me I got up "where are you going?" He asked "theres something I need to do" I answered and left but I didn't go home. When I walked up to the door I knocked hoping someone would be home, Kai's mom answered and hugged me "I'm so sorry" I said trying not to cry "it's okay it's not your fault" she replied trying not to cry also.

I was school and it was lunch Edward took Bella out so when I was waiting in the car park for her I saw Jake pull up I ran over as he got off the bike and hugged him "hey little one" he said "have you heard anything about Kai?" I asked hoping he would of heard something or anything he shook his head "have you seen your sister?" He asked letting me go "she went out for lunch" I answered then on cue her and Edward showed up.

They had a little talk and Victoria is back but I hadn't told anyone about my chat with her "you talked to her?" Edward asked me "you need to stay out of my head" I snapped "when?" Bella asked "the night I found out Kai was missing she has him and he's probably be turned now or dead" I said with very little emotion because what else am I meant to do "Crystal why didn't you tell me?" Bella asked "because what am I meant to do" I replied trying not to get upset "I'll see you guys later" I said walking "oh little one" Jake said grabbing my wrist "call Seth" he told me I nodded and took out my phone "I'm guessing Jake told you" he said "yeah can I come over?" I asked.

I'm now over at the Clearwater house talking to Sue "I'm so glad you're here" she told me "well I missed you and I have a lot going on right now" I replied "I heard the news are you okay?" She asked "yeah I guess I just never thought it would happen to me" I said she nodded, Seth walked in "hey" he said patting my shoulder "hi" I replied "are you friends again?" She asked we nodded "oh finally I have been waiting for this day" she said so happy "mom" Seth whined "can I talk to you?" He asked me "yeah sure" I said we stood up and went outside.

We walked through the woods and just talked like we use to I noticed we were at Emily's house "hey is that Bella and Jake?" I asked seeing two people heading to the barn "yeah" he said we followed them and I heard them talking "until graduation" I heard Bella say Jake was pissed and threw something "Hey!" I yelled at him "what are you doing here?" She asked me "for a second just a second I thought" Jake said ignoring the fact I was here "but he's got his hooks in you so deep" he added "I decided this not him" she replied "Bella, they're not even alive. He makes me sick. Better you really be dead than one of them" Jake said I can't believe he just said that to her I don't think any of us could.

I scoffed "I can't believe you said that. Edward was right, I shouldn't have come" she said taking the words right out of my mouth "Bella, come on. Please, I'm sorry" he begged but she just walked away I looked at him pissed "please don't give me the third degree" he told me "oh I'm gonna give you a lot worse than the third degree, what the fuck was that?!" I asked "language" he warned "you love her I get that but you need to realise that she loves you too but just as a friend Jacob!" I yelled.

He just looked at me "wow beat me when I'm already down" he spat "too right because you deserve it, you're not the one for her so move on!" I yelled "that's easy for you to say you have a guy who loves you and would do anything for you" he said getting in my face "what are you talking about?" I asked "my boyfriend is dead or probably been turned into a vampire, I just got my best friend back after he attacked me and all you can think about is how much you like my sister, Jacob wake up!" I yelled and walked away.

I got home before Bella because Seth gave me a lift and I couldn't find her anywhere "you want me to stay?" He asked "no I should be good thanks though" I replied I walked in and saw dad asleep on the sofa so I just went up to my room out my earphones in and went to sleep, I woke up to the sound of my door opening and Edward was there "what the hell?" I asked "someone's been in here its different to Bella's room" he said "is there anything missing?" He asked me I got up and looked "yeah Kai got me a t-shirt of my favourite band" I told him "two vampires in the house and they didn't kill?" Bella asked.

I was now at the Cullen household almost falling sleep "honey you can sleep in the guest bedroom" Esme told me I nodded she took me up there "was it Kai?" I asked looking at her "we don't know honey" she said "if it is please don't kill him help him" I begged "I can't make any promises but we'll do our best" she replied I walked into the room got under the covers and fell sleep. It had been a few days and Bella got the Cullens and the wolves to work together Sam had ordered Seth to stay in the house with us so he's here he's just not getting to fight which he hated.

I was cuddled into his side because he was so warm and we were watching a movie I yawned "you tired?" He asked I nodded "then sleep I'm not going anywhere" he told me I nodded again and closed my eyes. I woke up to not have Seth next to me but he left a note saying Sam had ordered him home and we were going to a party tonight, it was Saturday so I got up had a shower, got dressed which was shorts and an off the shoulder white top. Katie came over and we hung out before Seth picked me up which got her all confused so I would tell her everything well not everything you know what I mean when I got back home.

Jake took Bella and I got talking to Quil and Embry they were happy Seth and I were back to being friends, Leah and I talked and laughed while Seth went to talk to my sister and Jake "Paul stop eating all the food some if us are human and will die of starvation" I joked hitting his hand away as we all laughed and Billy made a bird call, Seth sat next to me "excited?" He asked "of course these are like the best stories" I said, "the Quileute have been a small tribe from the beginning" Billy started "and we've always had magic in our blood. We were great spirit warriors, shape-shifters that transformed to the powerful wolf. This enabled us to scare off our enemies and protect our tribe" he said.

I looked at Seth and smiled "one day our warriors came across a creature that looked like man but was hard like stone and cold as ice. Our warrior's sharp teeth finally tore it apart, but only fire would completely destroy it. They lived in fear the cold man was not alone. They were right" Billy said I was picturing the attacks my imagination taking over "she took her vengeance out on the village. Our elder chief, Taha Aki, was the only spirit warrior left to save the tribe after his son was killed" Billy said I shivered Seth wrapped his arm around me pulling my closer to him, Billy looked my way staring into my eyes like he knows something "Taha Aki's third wife would see that we would lose. The third wife was no magical being, no special powers but one. Courage." He explained.

I felt this pain in my stomach like I'd been stabbed "third wifes sacrifice distracted the cold woman long enough for Taha Aki to destroy her. She saved the tribe. Over time our enemies have disappeared but one remains. The cold ones." He said looking straight at Bella "Our magic awakens when they're near and we sense it now, we feel the threat in our blood. Something terrible is coming and we must all be ready. All of us" he said looking around the story ended "excuse me" I said getting up.

I was walking away "Crystal" I heard Bella say following me I turned to face her "why do I get the feeling everyone knows something I don't?" I asked "the way Billy looked at me it was like he felt something or knew something" I said "Crystal" Seth said taking my attention from Bella to him "Billy wants to talk to you" he said I nodded and walked away, I walked up to Billy "you wanted to talk to me?" I asked him "sit down" he said pointing to the tree log I did as he said "Crystal I noticed you touched your stomach when I talked about the third wifes sacrifice" he said "oh um that yeah my imagination just got the better of me thats all, there's really nothing wrong" I told him "if you say so" he replied "was that all?" I asked "I understand this is a hard time for you but I want you to promise me something" he said I nodded "choose wisely" he said what's he talking about "I don't understand" I said really confused "you will know when the time is right but choose wisely" he said and moved his wheelchair I just sat there "choose wisely?" I muttered to myself.

Over the next few days Bella and I got into a routine of the Cullens would watch then the wolves, graduation was getting closer and closer as each day went on, I was hanging out with Katie while Bella was with Jake, I filled her in on how Seth and I became friends again and how I still haven't heard from Kai, we sat on the steps waiting for her mom to come pick her up when I saw Edward's car pull up.
