4. The Andiacchi's??

"I can't believe you talked me into this.", I said before taking a deep breath.
"Mi ángel, you are carrying Ramos babies in your belly. We've been dating for months. Did you think I was going to let you give birth without meeting my family?"
"I was hoping. This is big, Mateo. I'm meeting your favorite people in the world. I'm meeting your mother. What if they don't like me?"
"They're going to love you as much as I do. You've already met Cam and she loves you."
"Because she wants to sleep with me and the one time I met Luisa, it was while you were telling her about how much you hated me.."
"You know I didn't mean it like that. I just wanted you to finally see me."
"I've always seen you, baby. You're my Mateo.", I said as I kissed him.

I heard the door open and I heard someone sigh.

"Well, look who finally showed up.", I heard a woman say.

We pulled away to see an older woman smiling at us.

"Hola, mamá.", Mateo said as he hugged her.
"Oh, my baby boy and you must be this novia(girlfriend) he keeps telling us about."
"Yes, ma'am. I'm Karina. It's nice to meet you, Ms. Ramos.", I stretched my hand out for her to shake. She looked at me and laughed.
"You're so formal, dear. We're family, now. Call me Argentina.", she said as she pulled me into a hug before leading us inside.

That's when I saw all of his sisters standing together. They looked so intimidating as they stared at me. I felt Mateo grab my hand.

"They're not as scary as they're trying to look. I promise.", he whispered in my ear.

"Everyone, this is my girlfriend, Karina. Karina, this is Marina, Isabella, Juliana, and Sofia, and you already know Camina and Luisa."
"It's very nice to meet you all."
"I told you all she was gorgeous. Good job, little brother.", Cam said as she shook her head while eyeing me. Mateo glared at her and held me closer to him.

"So, are you two going to get married before you have the babies or will they be born out of wedlock?", Luisa asked, snidely.

All of his sisters rolled their eyes at her.

"Well, considering that I'm due in less than two months, they'll definitely be born out of wedlock.", I retorted back.
"Excuse Luisa, she never could mind her manners.", Isabella said.
"I'm just asking the questions my little brother is too afraid to."
"I'm not afraid of anything. Karina and I are fine. We will be raising our children our way and before you ask, no, we haven't talked about baptizing the twins or whether or not we will have more kids.", he said as he glared at Luisa.
"And that's round one of the Mateo and Luisa showdown. Karina, if you stick around long enough, you'll get used to it.", Sophia joked. I nodded and rubbed Mateo's back.

"Are you two done? You're being very rude to Karina.", Argentina said before leading me to the couch. I could hear Mateo getting back into it with Luisa.

"So, how are the babies?", she asked with a big smile on her face.
"They're great. I'm 28 weeks today."
"May I?", she asked as she pointed at my belly.
"Of course. You're their Abuela."

She smiled at me and placed her hand on my belly.

"Oh, they're strong. True Ramos'.", she said as they started kicking.

I heard Mateo mumble something as he came and sat down next to me.

"I'm sorry, Mi Ángel. How's it going?", he grabbed my hand and kissed my forehead.

Argentina looked at us and smiled.

"Your papá used to call me that.", she said as her eyes glazed over.

Mateo smiled at her and nodded.

"Mateo's told me a lot about your husband and Nicolas. I'm so sorry for your losses."
