"There's a possibility that this is a soft historical event." Nora said as if she was trying to convince herself. "We're going to be fine."

"Yeah...I think I'm going to go for a run, are-"

" Yeah," I got this Nora said with an encouraging smile.

I went into the speed lab and found myself sitting instead of running. My thoughts were running at a million miles per hour as I thought about all of the things I haven't done, what I wanted to do, and my friends and family.

I decided it was best to not tell them. If they had any clue about could possibly happen, they wouldn't go through with stopping Cicada. I couldn't let them do that because this was the only way and I needed them to understand that.

I began writing one last entry in the time journal, a letter to my parents.

Dad came in as I was finishing the letter. He figured Mama Cecile and Papa Joe could use some help from Tornado with directing meta's receiving the cure. Once he was gone, I placed the journal somewhere I knew they would find it.

"Single file!" please I said trying to yell over the group.

"Tornado!" a woman said.

"Can I get a picture XS?" A guy said excitedly.

"My name Is tornado and maybe later. Hey no cutting!" I yelled.

Dad failed to mention that this group was huge and I was having a hard time keeping them calm. The more impatient they got the harder it became to keep them in order.

"Why is this taking so long, don't you know we have lives to get back to."

"I'm sure they are moving as fast as they can!" I assured.

"I've been waiting here for over two hours now!" a woman groaned.

"Did you just cut in front of me?" a man said, grabbing another man's shoulder.

"No, I-"

"Yes, you did I've been waiting for hours!" He said, attempting to levitate the guy.

I used my speed to quickly move them away from each other.

"That guy took my wallet!" a man yelled.

"oh, this is going to be good. "A guy said, waiting for the men to fight.

I maneuvered my way to the room Papa Joe, Mama Cecile, and the nurses were distributing the cure.

" I'm trying my best, but they aren't listening to me at all." I said as Papa Joe rushed out of the room past me.

"Excuse me, excuse me!" Papa Joe yelled over their voices as he climbed the stairs." people!" he yelled even louder as they began to quiet down." for all of you I haven't met, I'm detective Joe West. Now, I am not a metahuman." He said as I stood next to Mama Cecile." I don't know what that's like, but I do know what it's like to be afraid and overwhelmed." he said." You all came here because you wanted answers and you needed help. We're all here to help myself, Tornado-"

I awkwardly waved at the crowd as a few turned to me.

"And everybody else is here to help, so with a little bit of patience, we will get through this together!" he said before descending the stairs. "Tornado, officers, start moving the lines again."

"Okay, everyone in a single file please." I said having better luck with the crowd." Good, next person on station 4!" I directed.

We managed to clear the room a little since the crowd was easier to manage, but we still had hundreds of people to go.

"Okay next-"

The glass in the skylight above me shattered. Using my speed, I quickly moved myself and everyone else out of the way just as Cicada two fell through. She landed in the center of the floor peering at the crowd.

She raised her dagger, and everyone's powers were sucked out of their body including my own.

"They need to get out of here!" I said to Papa Joe.

"Get everybody out of here right now!" He directed the officers.

"This way!" I lead people to the emergency exit while others went with officers.

I opened the door for them and rushed them out while I sent an alert to everyone at S.T.A.R labs. The farther I got I could feel my powers coming back.

"Go, go, go!" I yelled."

"How are you holding up Dawn?" I heard mom ask from my earpiece.

"We are getting everyone out of the building. You need to hurry, Deputy Joe West stayed behind."

I helped the last few people out of the building before shutting the door behind them.

"Dawn?" Nora said.

"I got everyone out just like you guys said-"

"Good, we need you to give Cisco your gauntlet in the lobby."

I ran back and was able to faze through the newly formed sheet of ice Frost had left. I snatched the gauntlet off and gave it to cisco just as another one came through a breach. Cicada two had lodged the dagger into the device starting the countdown until the virus was released.

"Your gauntlets! "Cisco said." Damn, I love the future." he began ripping them apart and connecting them to the bomb."

" I'm not fixing that again," I mumbled.

"Okay, if I can connect to the three nodes inside, I'll override the system." Cisco explained." if I touch anything else...hasta la vista, baby."

"No, I'll run us out of here!" I said.

"Hopefully you can run faster than a virus." He said as he continued connecting them. "Great, I got it!"

"Yeah, great, how long until the other?" mom asked.

"However much time we got left," he replied as I heard a crashing sound.

"I'm going to help Dad, Ralph, and Frost!" I said to everyone.

"Be careful!" mom replied.

I fazed through the ice, where I found Ralph and Dad on the ground.

Cicada two suddenly jumped off the side of the railing and landed in front of me. I began punching as fast as I could. Some landed but she was able to Dodge the majority.

On the last punch, Cicada counter-attacked with a right hook. I slid on my hands and knees before getting back up and running around the room to generate lightning. I stopped a few feet in front of her and released it in her direction, however she used her blades to deflect it.

"Hold her off for just a few more seconds." Mom said as I dodged her swing.

"I'm trying!" I said as I lost balance and fell.

While one the ground, Cicada kicked me in the face causing me to fly backwards. I slowly stood up, ignoring the blood spewing from my nose. I saw multiple Cicadas walking toward me. I chose the middle one assuming that would be the right one but as soon as I swung, she punched me in the face again. My body fell to the ground with a thud.

I tried to get up one last time but I couldn't move. Everything went black for a few moments. It was like I blinked and suddenly Caitlyn and dad standing over me.

"I think I'm fine!" I said forcing a bloody smile as dad hugged me.

"You did so good." He mumbled.
